Stunning ‘60s Actress, 84, Wows with Throwback Swimsuit Photo

Ann-Margret Olsson, better known simply as Ann-Margret, is a film legend whose career has spanned decades. She is remembered and loved for her appearances in the ‘60s films “Bye Bye Birdie” and “Viva Las Vegas,” but she also starred in “Carnal Knowledge,” “Grumpy Old Men,” “Tommy,” “Twice in a Lifetime,” and many other titles. However, she recently got her fans’ attention not for her films but for a stunning throwback photo. 


Ann-Margret Gets Everyone’s Attention 

Ann-Margret posted a photo of herself on Instagram on Thursday, January 29. She is positioned with her back facing toward the camera, but her head is turned to look directly into the lens. In the picture, she is wearing a black swimsuit and holding a white towel. In the caption, she shared her thoughts, writing, “A little red hair and a lot of passion!” 

Fans reacted to the photo with supportive messages. “Phew! Boy were you an absolute smoke show!” a comment reads. “Absolutely stunning,” another person shared. Other reactions include, “You’re the most gorgeous redhead ever – this is a beautiful picture of you,” “Iconic 60s,” and “The most breathtaking beauty in the world.” 


Ann-Margret Discusses Aging & Her Love of Motorcycles

The beloved actress is 84 now and absolutely stunning, healthy, and youthful. In a February 2024 interview with People, she discussed her love of motorcycles. “I love speed,” she said, adding that she still rides her Harley-Davidson.  She continued to share details of her motorcycle, saying, “It’s lavender, and it’s got white daisies all over it. There’s flowers on the back fender and on the front fender. I love the speed.”

Ann-Margret has had a remarkable life and career, with an incredible film portfolio and numerous awards, including two Academy Award nominations: Best Actress in a Leading Role in 1976 for “Tommy” and Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 1972 for “Carnal Knowledge.”

“I am so blessed, I just can’t believe all the things that have happened to me,” she said in her interview. “I never expected it. Never.” But performing was something she always wanted to do, and she was destined for it. “I remember wanting to be in show business all my life,” she reflected. “And I remember one day I said to mother and daddy, ‘I want to talk to you. It’s a very, very important thing for me and I want to get into show business.'”

  1. I have a chapter in my memoir about her. It’s called: Collateral Stardust: Chasing Warren Beatty and Other Foolish Things. I mean, where else could read a memoir about giving crabs to a major celebrity (and I don’t mean Ann-Margret. LOL)

  2. If that photo were taken today, her handlers would be after her to lose wt. Just shows that back in the 60s men liked to see women who had SOME meat on their bones!!
    I’m not personally saying she was fat. Just how standards have changed!! She looked lovely!
