Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Son Christopher Makes Rare Outing After Impressive Weight Loss

Christopher Schwarzenegger is turning heads after stepping out for a rare public outing, showing off his dramatically slimmer physique years into his weight loss journey.

The 28-year-old was spotted enjoying a laid-back day in Malibu on Friday, looking noticeably more svelte.

Image of the outing were obtained by the Daily Mail.

Dressed casually in a navy crewneck sweatshirt and off-white joggers, Christopher kept things low-key while still revealing the results of his transformation.

He completed the look with a University of Michigan baseball cap—his alma mater—and a watch.

Even in relaxed, loose-fitting clothing, his toned physique was evident, marking a significant milestone in a journey that began several years ago.

Christopher Previously Dished About His Weight Loss Journey

Christopher, the son of Hollywood icon Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist Maria Shriver, first committed to changing his lifestyle in 2019 while living abroad.

During a May 2025 panel discussion, he reflected on the turning point that pushed him to make a change, according to PEOPLE.

“It was a big process,” he shared. “I started in 2019 when I was living in Australia. I was on this big trip. I made it a big [deal] like, ‘Oh, I’m going to go out and do all this stuff, be in Australia,’ and I just saw how much my weight was prohibiting me from doing the everyday activities.”

That realization hit particularly hard in one moment he now recalls with humor.

“I was like, ‘I want to go skydiving.’ And my friends were like, ‘Yeah, no shot.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I can’t skydive,’” he said.

Over the course of five years, Christopher lost an impressive amount of weight by committing to a healthier lifestyle.

The Transformation Was Years in the Making

His approach included consistent exercise—such as weight lifting, boxing, and hiking—alongside major dietary changes.

He emphasized that the transformation didn’t happen overnight.

“Not an overnight thing,” he said, noting it took “a lot of trial and error” to find what worked for him.

One simple but impactful change came during Lent, when he decided to cut out bread for 40 days.

The result was significant. He revealed he lost “30 pounds just through that.”

Christopher has also looked back at his progress through “before and after photos,” using them as motivation and reflection on how far he’s come.

While he tends to stay out of the spotlight compared to his famous family, his recent appearance highlights not only a physical transformation but a personal one as well.
