Iconic supermodel Cindy Crawford is celebrating daughter Kaia Gerber as she hits a big milestone. On Wednesday, September 3, Crawford, 59, marked Kaia’s 24th birthday with a touching Instagram tribute. She shared a sweet throwback photo of herself holding Kaia as a little girl, alongside a more recent shot of the two posing together, with Kaia looking all grown up.

Crawford shares Kaia and her son, Presley Gerber, 25, with her husband, Rande Gerber.
Alongside her birthday message, she reflected on how quickly time has flown by as her daughter has grown from a child into an established star.

Lessons From Crawford’s Own Motherhood Journey

One favorite lesson: “Show up, shut up and wear beige.” Crawford explained as per People, “It’s about when you’re showing up for your kids or… if you were to be the perfect mother-in-law at a wedding. She’s like, ‘It’s not about you, you don’t want to stand out.’”
She added that the best piece of advice her mother gave her was, “Don’t give advice unless [it’s] asked for,” something she tries to practice with her own children. “They know if they ask me, they’re going to get my real opinion. But if they don’t ask me… I try not to offer unsolicited advice.”
Kaia Gerber’s Rise in Fashion & Acting
Kaia has built an impressive career of her own. A true fashion industry veteran by her early 20s, she has graced magazine covers and walked the runway for some of the biggest names in the business.
She has also branched into acting, appearing in the comedy Bottoms, the period piece Saturday Night, and the Apple TV+ series “Palm Royale”, which is returning for a second season later this year. She will also star in the upcoming projects “The Shards and Outcome”. Off the runway and screen, Kaia runs a celebrity book club called Library Science.
Mother & Daughter Share Glamorous Bond
While Kaia has carved her own identity, she has never shied away from paying tribute to her mom’s iconic style. Last year, she wore a gown inspired by Crawford’s unforgettable 1993 Oscars look.
“If she wants to wear something that I wore 30 years ago, what bigger compliment is that?” Crawford told Vogue.
