Jada Star has posted a message responding to the passing of Dolly Parton. Jada is a young musician and the niece of the late actress and iconic singer Dolly, who passed away earlier this week. Dolly’s family made the announcement online, sharing that at the age of 80 she is sadly no longer with us. A matter of hours later Dolly’s team confirmed the cause of her passing as an undisclosed but brief battle with cancer.
In Jada’s post she thanked fans for their love, before sharing that she needed to step away from being online to have time to grieve.
What Did Jada Say?
Jada posted a single photo to her Instagram grid which wasn’t a picture of her and Dolly. It was instead a close up shot of a field of daisies, which are a flower often associated with purity and new beginnings. Penned in the caption of the post, a heartbroken Jada didn’t say much but she took a moment to extend a word of thanks to those who loved Dolly.
She wrote: “I want you to know we are all reeling and grieving with you. Thank you for grieving with us. I won’t be online for about a week, but please know I am already reading your messages. Thank you. Myself and my family will need time, but we are here with you.”
Fans of Jada shared their love in the post’s comments section, as well as their condolences. One user said: “Holding you in my heart.”
A second shared: “Praying for you all. Sending so much love to Tennessee and the whole family. What a gift and legacy she [Dolly] leaves, to all of us.”
Another added: “Hugs to you. I know it is hard. We are sending love and light. Thank you for sharing this angel with us. She loved you so much.”
Dolly’s Family Share She Has Passed Away
Dolly Parton’s family posted a video message to her social media profiles today announcing that she had passed away. Bryan Seaver read out the tragic news, speaking to a camera. He shared: “Hey everyone, my name is Bryan Seaver, son of Cassie Parton, and I am representing the Parton and Owens family today announcing the passing of my aunt Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean.
“Sister, sis, aunt, granny to one generation, and Gigi to the next. This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago before I fully absorbed it as a future reality. As her head of security for more than two decades, a role my father Larry held before me, I have imagined the heaviness of this moment but haven’t truly felt it until now. It is an honor, an honor that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness. But sadness lies with us, but not with Dolly.
“Dolly has lived in the light […] met by Carl, her parents, and countless others who have watched her and longed for her to meet them in the heavens. […] Dolly also opened doors for generations of singers, songwriters, musicians and dreamers from every walk of life , and across every continent. By her example, we believed that anything was possible.
“She never saw a door she couldn’t open, and the doors she opened made and changed history. My family and I have shared a lifetime of beautiful memories with Dolly, but so have you. She has always been on your television, your record player, your CD, and your phone playlist becoming an extended part of your family.”
