Ann Michael Maye may be known as the wife of New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, but she has carved out her own spotlight. From viral TikTok baking videos to new media ventures, she’s become a favorite among fans as Drake prepares for the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos. Here’s what you need to do.
Ann Michael Maye Has Known Drake Maye Since They Were Kids
Ann Michael and Drake grew up near Charlotte, North Carolina, and met long before football fame entered the picture. The two attended school together for several years before Drake transferred high schools.
Drake first shared their relationship publicly in January 2020, posting a photo of the couple on Instagram with the caption, “Bringing in ’20 with a 10.”
Ann Michael graduated from the University of North Carolina in May 2025 with a degree in business administration and a double minor in entrepreneurship and conflict management. She celebrated by posting on Instagram: “Thank you, Carolina.”
When Drake was drafted third overall by the Patriots in 2024, Ann Michael relocated to Massachusetts with him.
Drake Maye’s Wife Became a TikTok Star Through Baking
She blew up on TikTok after sharing baking videos from her own kitchen, especially through her popular “Bakemas” series.
Her relaxed approach and easy-to-follow recipes quickly clicked with viewers, with one cookie bar video pulling in more than 1.8 million views.
As her following grew, she started branching out beyond desserts, posting everyday meals like chicken fajitas and high-protein salads.
Ann Michael Maye Turned Her TikTok Following Into a TV Show
Ann Michael’s TikTok success led to a new opportunity with “Beyond Bakemas,” which debuted on NBC Sports Boston this month. The show features cooking segments, lifestyle moments, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of her daily life.
Ann Michael Maye Comes From a Football Family
Football runs in Ann Michael’s family. Her father played college football at Wofford College, and her younger brother, Tad Maye, played quarterback at the University of North Carolina alongside Drake.
Tad later transferred to Coastal Carolina, where he started the 2025 Independence Bowl. In December, he shared a photo of himself and Ann Michael cheering on the Patriots, prompting her to comment, “Come back soon!”
The Couple Made It Official in 2025
Drake proposed in January 2025, announcing the engagement on Instagram with the caption, “Love doing life with you. Can’t wait to marry you!”
The couple married on June 21, 2025, at Grandfather Golf and Country Club in Linville, North Carolina. They reportedly donated their wedding gifts and the proceeds from their registry to local children’s shelters in their hometown.
As Drake leads the Patriots into the AFC Championship Game, Ann Michael remains a constant presence. Drake recently shared a lighthearted moment with reporters, saying, “My wife has gotten on me because a bunch of other people have gone onto the field after the game and we haven’t yet,” according to People.
