‘Suits’ Fame and a Career Resurgence

Torres is best known for her role as powerhouse attorney Jessica Pearson on “Suits,” where she starred for seven seasons alongside Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, and Meghan Markle.

She later headlined the spinoff “Pearson,” which aired for one season before ending in 2019.

Another franchise extension, “Suits LA,” was also short-lived, canceled after one season in 2025.

The original legal drama experienced a major resurgence after landing on Netflix in 2023, drawing in a new generation of viewers years after its USA Network run concluded in 2019.

“I don’t know what to make of it, honestly,” Torres told The Hollywood Reporter in February 2025.

“It has gotten harder to walk through airports, that much I can tell you, for sure. I think it is indicative of what a great show it was. It taps into a kind of aspirational drive that we all have for ourselves and maybe a future that we see for ourselves.”

“To be that impossibly witty, that impossibly well-dressed, and that impossibly good-looking all the time, is impossible. But why the hell not try? Why the hell not?” she added.

Torres later starred on “9-1-1: Lone Star” and served as an executive producer on “Pearson,” a project she later said was deeply personal.

Torres handled high-pressure moments on Fox’s drama “9-1-1: Lone Star,” but once she shared details of jaw-dropping situations off-screen.

During an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Torres and Clarkson swapped stories about their wild real-life car accidents, and Torres also opened up about a frightening moment when she was held at knifepoint while at work.
