Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are reportedly “speaking again,” months after finalizing their divorce.
The former “American Idol” judge and Oscar-winning actress have become more cordial and are now in a much better place, according to the National Enquirer.
“Things have gotten so much better,” the source told the outlet. “They’re actually speaking again — and he’s now suggesting that they should do Christmas as a family in Australia.”
Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman Are ‘More Cordial’ Now, Says Source
GettyNow that Kidman and Urban are reportedly on speaking terms, the actress may adjust her schedule to spend the holidays with him and their daughters, the outlet added.
“When they broke up, they promised the girls they would still spend special occasions together as a family, and both Keith and Nicole do want to be true to their word,” the insider claimed. “It will take some juggling, but Nicole agrees that it makes sense to spend at least some of Christmas Day together. She says she’s willing to put their baggage to the side if Keith is.”
Last year, Kidman and her daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, spent their first Christmas since the divorce in Australia. At the time, a source told PEOPLE they were very excited to be celebrating back home.
“Nicole and the girls are in Australia for Christmas. This is all she wanted after a tumultuous fall,” the insider told the outlet. “She just wanted to celebrate Christmas at home. She’s very excited.”
Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban Prioritize Their Kids
GettyEarlier this month, Us reported that the “dust has really settled” between Kidman and Urban, who were married for nearly 20 years.
“There’s still a lot of respect between them, despite everything they went through,” the source told the outlet.
As they adjust to life after their split, Kidman and Urban are reportedly working to ensure their daughters remain their top priority.
“What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that,” Kidman told Variety. “Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect. I’m staying in a place of, ‘We are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.”
GettyMeanwhile, Urban reportedly remained in contact with his daughters, despite earlier reports that they are no longer speaking with the country singer following the divorce.
“The girls are very close with their mom and also protective of her,” the source told PEOPLE. “They do have a relationship with their dad, too. The family dynamic is much more normal than people assume.”
In 2018, Urban publicly expressed how much he loves being a father to two girls. Speaking with ABC News, the singer admitted that raising his daughters with Kidman has been a “learning curve.”
“It’s an incredible feeling. And having girls—I love having girls,” Urban added. “You know, I come from a family with no sisters, one brother. So, it’s been quite the learning curve in a really good way.”

How does any woman or man get over a cheating spouse? Thats a hard pill to swallow. Anyone that’s been cheated on knows once a cheat always a cheat. The old saying ” A leopard never changes his spots. Sometimes even when you have children they also suffer with the parent that’s been cheated on. And hold a grudge with that parent that that ruined the family. So please stop saying stop and just get back together. When your hurt it takes a very long time to heal from that. I say be cordial and love your children. Cause you will always be in eachothers lives as long as you have children…..PERIOD
