Kobe Bryant‘s daughter, Capri, is proudly following in her father’s footsteps, and her mom, Vanessa, couldn’t be more touched. On Thursday, July 24, Vanessa, 43, posted a collage photo on Instagram showing 6-year-old Capri holding a basketball in a strikingly similar pose to her late father, NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
Capri Poses Like Her Legendary Dad
Capri is seen in a gym, gripping a basketball with one hand and gazing upward while wearing plaid pants. The lower half of the collage shows Kobe in a nearly identical stance, sporting plaid pants beneath his iconic Lakers uniform.
“Like father, like daughter.💜Capri Kobe Bryant 💜#BabyMamba #KokoBean 💜💛🐍 #PurpleCast,” Vanessa captioned the emotional post.
Capri’s Birthday Was a Celebration of Love
Just weeks earlier in June, Vanessa honored Capri’s 6th birthday with a joyful Instagram tribute. She kicked things off with a photo of Capri wearing a purple “Birthday Girl” shirt paired with a white skirt. The post included several recent photos of the mother-daughter duo smiling and posing together.
“Capri, we love you so much!!!! Happy 6th birthday to my sweet Koko Bean! 💜~ Capri Kobe Bryant ~💜 🎂🎉🫶🏽🎉” she wrote in her caption.

“BB-8! BB is 8 today! Happy birthday to our Sunshine. We love you so much, Bianka! You bring so much love and laughter into our lives,” Vanessa wrote.
She continued, “You are so loved mama! 😘❤️🎉🎂🎉 You say it’s your BB8 birthday, and I’ll keep reminding you it’s your daddy (#8 ) year. ❤️”
Vanessa Continues to Celebrate Kobe’s Legacy Through Their Daughters
This isn’t the first time Vanessa has shared glimpses of Capri’s budding love for basketball. Two years ago, the ‘Mamba & Mambacita’ author posted a sweet photo of her youngest daughter smiling brightly while holding two basketballs, mirroring her dad’s signature pose and energy.
