Fans of “NCIS” will see Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo and Ziva David’s relationship again in the spinoff, “NCIS: Tony & Ziva.” The first three episodes of Season 1 will premiere on September 4, 2025.

All About ‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’ Season 1
The Paramount+ series stars Michael Weatherly as DiNozzo and Cote de Pablo as David. Set in Paris, France, the characters are dedicated to co-parenting their daughter, Tali, who actress Isla Gie will portray. Other cast members include Amita Suman, Terence Maynard, Lara Rossi, Maximilian Osinski, Nassima Benchicou, Julian Ovenden, and James D’Arcy, People reports.
The first three episodes of “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” Season 1 will be available for streaming on September 4 at 3 am EST or midnight PST on Paramount+. Episodes one to three are titled: “No Country Is Safe,” “No Friend of Mine,” and “Cover Story.”
There are ten episodes in total. An episode will be available to stream every Thursday after the initial premiere, USA Today reports. The season finale will be on October 23, 2025.
The Plot
The plotline for “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” reveals how DiNozzo and David are in Paris raising their daughter. An attack on DiNozzo’s security company has them fleeing for safety. Their goal? “Try to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after,” PopCulture reports.
The characters are beloved: DiNozzo appeared on Season 1 of “NCIS” and exited in Season 13, and David debuted in Season 3 and exited in Season 11. It has been over ten years since the actors worked together, having appeared on screen together for the last time on Season 11, in 2023, PopCulture reports.
But time was not a problem!
“There are moments that I just look forward to going to the set every day,” de Pablo told PopCulture. “It didn’t matter how tired I was because Michael and I are revisiting these characters, but it’s also our baby. We’re executive producers. There’s a lot of unspoken things that we need to sort of manage, and we manage them quietly. We talk to each other, of course, but sometimes there’s not a lot we can do about things because we have to delegate.”
Why Is Tiva Back After More Than a Decade?
It has been roughly 12 years since fans saw DiNozzo and David onscreen. Their characters and the dynamic between them have endeared them to fans, earning them the nickname “Tiva.”
“We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready,” they said in a joint statement of why they wanted to return to television, Deadline reports.
The statement continues, revealing what fans can expect. “The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears and laughter,” it reads. We also want to acknowledge and thank the fans from around the world who supported the ‘Tiva’ movement for years. To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now. This is for you!”
