The Hughes Brothers’ post-apocalyptic neo-Western action movie “The Book of Eli” received a mixed reception when it was released, but there’s no doubt it has its merits — not least because of its incredible cast.
Led by Denzel Washington as the eponymous Eli, the film also features the likes of Gary Oldman, Mila Kunis, and Malcolm McDowell.
The movie focuses on Washington’s character, a nomad in a post-apocalyptic world, three decades after a nuclear holocaust. The story follows him as he attempts to deliver a mysterious book — the last remaining copy of the Bible — to a safe location on the West Coast of the United States.
It’s hard to believe it, but “The Book of Eli” released on January 15, 2010. That means it’s 16 years old. On its 16th anniversary, let’s take at a look at the cast now compared to how they looked back then…
