Salma Hayek Celebrates 60 With Sultry Beach Photos as Fans Call Her ‘Ageless’

Salma Hayek is welcoming 60 on her own terms. The Oscar-nominated actress marked the milestone with a new Instagram carousel on Monday, September 7, sharing carefree photos of herself enjoying the water days after celebrating her birthday on Wednesday, September 2.

Salma, 60, kept her message simple: “60 and grateful.”

Salma Hayek Celebrates Turning 60 by the Water

In one photo, the “Frida” star appeared topless, standing in the water with her back to the camera, her long, wet hair falling down her back. Another showed her smiling as she relaxed near a rocky shoreline.

Fans quickly filled the comments with birthday wishes and praise. “60 yet ageless…. Father Time must be smitten with you 😊,” one person wrote.

Another fan account added, “60 years of sweetness, talent, grace, and a beauty that shines from the inside out. 60 years of making the world feel a little brighter just by being in it ❤️”

Hayek celebrated her actual birthday several days earlier with family and friends.

In a video obtained by Hello magazine, the gathering shows her taking part in the Mexican birthday tradition “la mordida” alongside her daughter, Valentina.

Salma Hayek Has Been Candid About Getting Older

Reaching 60 fits naturally with a message Salma has increasingly embraced in recent years: getting older does not mean becoming less visible.

While discussing aging with Good Housekeeping in May 2025, she reflected on changing expectations for women in their 50s.

“I don’t know if the mindset [around aging] has changed that much or if it is that now women, when we are in our fifties, we’re still hot,” she said. “But what is indisputable is that our generation broke many walls, and we are an incredible workforce.”

She also explained that her approach to beauty is about continuing to recognize herself, saying she wants “your face to stay your face, to look like you and be able to have all the expressions read easily.”

Her Sports Illustrated Cover Marked Another Milestone

That philosophy was on full display when Salma made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover debut at 58 in 2025.

The achievement surprised even her. “If somebody had told me I was gonna be in it at 58, I would have sent them to the madhouse, but the world has changed, and that’s exciting,” she told Sports Illustrated.

Salma later said the experience represented freedom from old ideas about how women should look or behave as they age. “I don’t see why after a certain age we have to retract ourselves from embracing life to the fullest,” she said.

Salma Hayek Is Staying Busy at 60

There is no sign Salma is slowing down professionally, either. She is currently returning as Roxanne Chase-Feder in Netflix’s “Grown Ups 3,” reuniting with Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello and other familiar faces from the comedy franchise.

Netflix confirmed in August that production had begun in New Jersey, more than 13 years after “Grown Ups 2” arrived in theaters. The streamer has not yet announced a release date.

For Salma, the milestone birthday arrives during a chapter she once might not have imagined, one filled with new roles, longtime friendships, and a growing comfort with simply being herself.
