The Owens family is getting a little bigger in “Practical Magic 2,” thanks to Sandra Bullock and two very special additions from her own family.
Sandra, 62, revealed that her children, Louis and Laila, quietly appear in the long-awaited sequel, although moviegoers may have to look closely to find them.

“They’re in the movie, but not in an obvious way to you,” Sandra told Access Hollywood at the film’s Los Angeles premiere on Monday, August 31. “I can’t wait to show them where it is.”
The actress added that Louis, 16, and Laila, 12, do not even know where their cameos appear.

Sandra, who has largely kept her children out of the spotlight, also gave a rare glimpse into the relationship she shares with them.
Asked if she is a “proud mama,” the Oscar winner said she is “unbelievably proud” of Louis and Laila.
“What’s amazing is that something happens when you have kids where you stop being the influence on them, and they become the influence on you,” Sandra said.
She described Louis as her “steadfast moral barometer.” “I’m always like, ‘What would Louis do?’” she said.
Laila, meanwhile, brings a different perspective to the family. “When it comes to spotting things and thinking forward, it’s [Laila],” Sandra said. “They’re so completely different, yet they give me two halves of a whole. … It’s amazing.”

Sandra adopted Louis and later welcomed Laila into her family. She raised the children alongside her longtime partner, Bryan Randall, before his death in August 2023 following a private battle with ALS.
Sandra has spoken sparingly about motherhood over the years and has worked to protect her children’s privacy while they grow up. That made her latest comments a particularly personal moment during what has otherwise been a whirlwind promotional tour for “Practical Magic 2.”

GettySandra also found a permanent way to keep her family close. At the London premiere of “Practical Magic 2” on Wednesday, August 26, she debuted a delicate tattoo on her left shoulder featuring the letters “L” and “B” alongside the number “2.”
Page Six reported that the ink includes a tribute to Louis and Laila. Sandra also confirmed during the premiere that the tattoo held special meaning connected to her children.
The subtle design marked another rare public nod to the family life Sandra generally keeps private.
