‘Scary Movie’ Star Passes Away at 62 – She Will Be Missed

Jayne Trcka, a bodybuilder who played Miss Mann in “Scary Movie,” passed away on December 12 at the age of 62, TMZ reports. The news was shared with the outlet by Trcka’s son.

“The San Diego medical examiner also confirmed her death, telling us her cause of death is pending,” TMZ wrote. “Jayne’s son was not aware of any medical condition or sickness that would have caused her death.”

The U.S. Sun added that a San Diego Medical Examiner spokesperson told them, “there was trauma to the body, but we wouldn’t be able to indicate cause of death at this time.”

Along with her role in “Scary Movie,” Trcka also made appearances in “The Drew Carey Show” and “Whose Line is it Anyway?”

Trcka was a well-known bodybuilder and fitness model who also had a successful career as an actress. Specifically, her bodybuilding career took off in the 1980s and she won first place at the 1997 California State Championships.

In 2000, she landed a role in “Scary Movie” as Miss Mann, a girls’ gym teacher at B. A. Corpse High School, which kick-started her time in Hollywood. While there were four sequel films released in 2001, 2003, 2026, and 2013, Trcka only appeared in the first one. A sixth movie in the series is set to be released in June 2026.

She also made appearances in movies including “The Black Magic” (2002), “Nudity Required” (2003), “The Interplanetary Surplus Male and Amazon Women of Outer Space” (2003), and “Cattle Call” (2006).

As for television, Trcka appeared on “The Drew Carey Show,” “Whose Line is it Anyway?,” “Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush,” “MTV’s Next,” “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!,” and “The New Big Ball with Neil Hamburger.”

She also made two appearances in music videos, starting with “She Got Me Dancing,” by Tommy Sparks. In 2010, she was also in “Telephone” by Lady Gaga, portraying one of the officers who walked the singer into prison.

And then there’s the numerous fitness magazines she’s been on, including Flex, MuscleMag International, Women’s Physique World, Iron Man, and Fighting Females.
