Back in February, Valerie Bertinelli launched Valerie’s Place, a direct-to-fan digital platform in which she shares recipes in “Meals for One,” new episodes of her one-time Food Network cooking show “Valerie’s Home Cooking” and other exclusive content.
Also included for subscribers is Bertinelli’s podcast, “Getting Naked,” in which she’s joined by an array of special guests.
Her fans, however, have been clamoring for one guest in particular, and she finally made it happen by welcoming her “One Day at a Time” co-star Mackenzie Phillips
‘My Honorary Sister’
Bertinelli announced their reunion in a video she shared via TikTok.
“You guys have been begging me to have Mac on the show, and believe me, we have been talking for months now about making this happen,” she said while standing next to her former sitcom sibling.
“So here we are — she’s on ‘Getting Naked,’ Bertinelli added, revealing their conversation was so expansive that it would be a two-part podcast.
“My oldest friend. My honorary sister. The most requested guest in ‘Getting Naked’ history 🤍,” Bertinelli wrote in the caption.
“Mac is FINALLY here! And after all these years, let’s just say… we had a lot of catching up to do,” she added.
The Most Requested Guest
“She’s the most requested guest since day one — and she was absolutely worth the wait,” reads the description of the just-released podcast episode, only available to subscribers to Valerie’s Place.
“Valerie sits down with her oldest friend, ‘One Day at a Time’ co-star, and honorary sister Mackenzie Phillips for a conversation that spans five decades of shared history, Hollywood childhood, hard-won recovery, and the kind of friendship that picks back up exactly where it left off,” the description continues.

It didn’t take long for fans to comment on the first part of that conversation — and some are hopeful that the two will reunite in a new television project.
“The idea of having both of you playing an older version of yourselves in ‘One Day at a Time’ is not a bad idea,” noted one comment.
