Season 15 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” concluded in April with its much-talked-about three-part reunion. Since its airing, some fans of the show have criticized Dorit Kemsley, feeling that she was a bit aggressive toward her costars, including Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne.
Now, ahead of her new book, the RHOBH star is explaining and revealing what she would do differently if she could.
Dorit Kemsley Explains Her Actions at the RHOBH Season 15 Reunion
Kemsley was interviewed by Entertainment Tonight in May 2026 to promote her book, ‘Unburdened: A Memoir.” During it, she was asked about her issues with Richards and Jayne, specifically whether they could come forward after their fallout.
She said, “I think so. I like to think so, I need them to want it as much as I do, and then you could always figure it out.” After that, the reporter asked the 49-year-old about her reunion performance, including that some felt she was perhaps a bit stubborn.
When asked if she would approach the sitdown with her costars differently, she explained, “I think I was in such a dark place and I was hurt and frustrated and aggressive, and you know, it was hard to watch back because it’s not who I am.”
Kemsley continued, “I would be a lot more open and not so closed off. Not so ridget.” From there, they continued discussing the reunion, including her comments about Richards “having producing power on the show.” Notably, she said, “I know she doesn’t.”
In explaining it, she stated that she answered Andy Cohen’s question about “why you think people fear Kyle,” saying she meant that people believe Richards “had the power to get people off the show.”

GettyKemsley also interviewed with ExtraTV in May 2026 to promote her new book. Near the end of the conversation, she was asked whether she was ready to date. For context, she separated from PK Kemsley in May 2024. She then filed for divorce in April of the following year. They are still legally married.
She responded, “I’ve not been dating, but I would like to.” After that, the RHOBH fan-favorite stated that it’s been 14 years since she’s been in the dating world. According to her, “So, I don’t know. I think things have to happen organically.”
From there, Kemsley revealed that her friends are “starting to” set her up with men they think she may be into. She also shared the types of men she prefers, which are never the “most attractive guy in the room,” following her mother’s advice.
Her Book Comes Out In June
As mentioned, Kemsley is currently promoting her upcoming book, “Unburdened: A Memoir.” The book, which comes from Podium Publishing, will arrive on June 2. RHOBH fans will recall that she hosted an unveiling event for the cover on the hit Bravo series during season 15.
According to Podium Entertainment, the “Housewives” star is going on a four-date book tour. It begins May 31 in Los Angeles. The tour then ends on June 4 in New York City.
