Kyle Richards did not hold back when discussing her separation from Mauricio Umansky during BravoCon 2025. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member appeared on the Livin’ in Beverly Hills panel on November 14 and offered fans one of her most direct updates yet on how she and Umansky are navigating life post-split — especially when it comes to dating.
Although the pair has maintained a united and respectful front since announcing their separation in July 2023, Richards made it clear there is one topic she and Umansky simply will not explore together: each other’s romantic lives.
Kyle Richards Shares Why She and Mauricio Umansky Don’t Talk About Dating
During the panel, moderator Michelle Collins asked Richards where things stand between her and Umansky now that they are living separate lives. Richards answered honestly, explaining that even though both are “allowed to do whatever” they want in the romance department, they avoid talking about it.
“We live separate lives,” Richards said. “But, um, of course, I think we’ve seen Mauricio dating.” When Collins pressed her on whether they ever discuss their dating situations directly, Richards clarified that they do not. “It’s like, you know, we don’t really want to know,” she said, before adding with a laugh, “And I can just look at TMZ and find out anyway.”
Even with dating off-limits, Richards noted that the two remain committed to navigating their separation with kindness. “It’s just a given, but we are really grateful that we really love and care about each other enough that we put our children and our family first, and we’re able to go about this separation in a very amicable, loving way,” she explained.
Kathy Hilton Weighs In on Who She Thinks the RHOBH Star Should Date Next
Of course, a Richards moment would not be complete without sister Kathy Hilton chiming in. Hilton, never one to shy away from an opinion, shared her thoughts on what kind of partner would best suit her sister moving forward.
“I think she would want somebody that’s active, that’s funny, that’s successful in their own right, that doesn’t have the begging bowl out,” Hilton said. After some light debate over what exactly a “begging bowl” meant, Hilton continued: “I think she would want to have somebody that’s fun, good-looking, and a kind person… And I think she will find that person.”
It appears viewers will see even more of Richards exploring her newfound independence when season 15 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” premieres on December 4. The trailer teased Richards discussing sex, dating, and what she’s really looking for during a candid moment with castmate Bozoma Saint John. “I could go Brad; I could go Angelina,” Richards joked, before getting serious about her preferences. In another clip, Saint John took notes on a whiteboard, prompting Richards to quip, “Someone who likes sex!”
