Larsa Pippen Burglary: Police Chief Credits ‘RHOM’ Star for Helping Law Enforcement

“The Real Housewives of Miami” star Larsa Pippen played a “crucial” role in helping police arrest three men who were around her home in the upscale neighborhood of Pinecrest. Pippen wasn’t home at the time of the arrest, but she was alerted by her phone’s security system.

Pippen has now beefed up security after that incident. Fortunately, she invested in a good security system that immediately notified her. The 51-year-old knew exactly what to do once she learned her home had been targeted.

How ‘RHOM’ Star Helped Cops Crack Miami Case

Authorities learned that the three young men had traveled from Georgia to Pippen’s home. They were caught after running off and jumping into a silver Hyundai Tucson. Pinecrest police shared details of the pursuit on their official Facebook page.

The three men arrested were Cortez Day Mon Johnson, Elijah Eugene Russell, and Treison Lache Booker. They will face several charges, including attempted burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, criminal mischief, and resisting without violence.

According to court records obtained by The Miami Herald on Tuesday, March 31, Booker and Johnson remain in custody. Russell has been extradited on an out-of-state warrant for an unknown offense.

Pinecrest Police Chief Jason Cohen couldn’t confirm whether the three men knew the property belonged to Pippen. Since she has shared about her home’s renovations on Instagram, Cohen hinted that it could have been a factor in the crime.

Cohen praised Pippen for helping authorities track down the men. He noted that the Bravo star was “very instrumental” in leading them to the prompt arrests.

“We go to false alarms all the time,” Cohen said. “But once we determined otherwise, it changed the landscape and response and raised the alert level. As officers were approaching, they were driving away. That was the getaway car.”

Larsa Pippen Beefs Up Security After Burglary

The Facebook post warned other residents to stay on the lookout for suspicious activity. As for the reality star, Pippen is “fine” and congratulated the police’s “amazing” response to the burglary situation.

According to TMZ, Pippen is not taking a chance with security. She has stepped up her security efforts after learning that her Miami home was targeted.

Sources told the outlet that Pippen hired “armed security guards” and might consider having an armed dog. The trio smashed the windows at the scene, but couldn’t gain access.

The police report stated that Pippen’s sliding doors have “multiple impact marks,” totaling $1 million in damage. The security footage that she provided authorities shows the suspects smashing the windows with a “large blunt object.”
