Emily Simpson may just be one of the busiest Bravo stars around! The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star is a lawyer by trade, busy raising three kids with her lawyer-husband, Shane Simpson. Add to that the fact that the two recently began hosting a weekly podcast, “Legally Brunette.”
Emily recently chatted with The Daily Dish about her latest endeavors and how they will factor into RHOC.
Emily Loves Hosting a Legal Podcast
BravoEmily is no longer a practicing attorney, so her new legal podcast is perfect for her.
She recently told The Daily Dish, “I love doing a legal podcast because it gives me the ability to still feel like I’m in that world cause I do so much research for it.”
“And so, it allows me to research cases and read about things and come up with a plan of what we’re gonna talk about, so I really enjoy it, ” Emily explained. I feel like I get to be a nerd, like a law nerd again. And then do it in an entertaining way, cause it’s done really well.”
It initially came as a surprise to Emily that so many fans of RHOC were invested in her legal career. They were also intrigued by Shane’s fight to pass the bar. “To me, it wasn’t that interesting. Just because I’ve been through law school and done all that. People get really invested in their lives, and it makes sense that they were invested in him and the bar and all of that,” she explained.
Emily Is Still Involved With Fundraising for Charity
GettyThe Bravo star also confirmed that she continues to work with California’s The Innocence Project, an organization dedicated to helping those who have been wrongly convicted.
“I work with them, just doing a lot of fundraising. There’s something that comes up later in the season with the Innocence Project, which is great. They have some things going on. They’ve reached out and want me to do some things with a legal podcast, so I’m hoping that maybe we can do something together. So, yeah, always in constant contact,” says the reality star.
