“The Real Housewives of New York City” Season 16 hasn’t even premiered yet, but two cast members already have a pretty good idea who will have the most explaining to do when reunion time rolls around.
Erin Lichy and Jessel Taank offered an early preview of what viewers can expect from the upcoming reunion, and both pointed toward the same two names: Erin herself and new Housewife Daisy Toye.
While speaking to Us Weekly ahead of the Season 16 premiere, Jessel was asked who she predicts will find herself in the hot seat when the cast eventually sits down to unpack the season.
Her initial answer was an even split.
“I think it’s going to be a mixture between Erin and Daisy. 50/50 equal,” Jessel told the outlet.
Then, she reconsidered.
“Actually, no, I take that back — 70/30. Seventy Erin, 30 Daisy.”
Erin Lichy Is Already Expecting a Busy RHONY Reunion
Jessel isn’t the only one anticipating plenty of attention on Erin.
When asked separately about the Season 16 reunion, Erin acknowledged that she expects to have some questions coming her way. But she made it clear she doesn’t think she’ll be sitting alone in the proverbial hot seat.
“Yeah, I won’t be the only one,” Erin teased.
In fact, Erin suggested she plans on doing some questioning of her own once the cameras roll.
“I can tell you that — and actually, there are people that I will be putting in the hot seat as well,” she added. “Big time.”
Erin stopped short of revealing who she intends to question, leaving one mystery intact before viewers have even seen the season play out.
The comments offer an intriguing early clue about Season 16. Erin has been part of the rebooted RHONY cast since Season 14, while Daisy is one of three new Housewives entering the group this year. Hailey Glasman and Erika Hammond are also making their debuts.
Jessel and Sai De Silva are returning alongside Erin, while former RHONY star Carole Radziwill is making her full-time comeback after previously appearing on Seasons 5 through 10.
Daisy Toye Could Find Herself in the Middle of the Action
Jessel’s prediction is particularly interesting because Daisy hasn’t appeared in a single episode yet.
Putting a newcomer second only to Erin in her reunion “hot seat” ranking suggests Daisy won’t spend her first season quietly finding her footing in the group. Whatever unfolds, Jessel apparently expects there to be plenty for Daisy to answer for by the time the reunion arrives.
Erin, meanwhile, has already teased an intense season ahead.
The real estate agent also acknowledged that viewers don’t always see her the way she sees herself.
“I don’t really give a [expletive] what people think about me,” Erin joked to Us Weekly before quickly adding, “No, I’m kidding. Sometimes I do.”
She also pushed back on the perception that she’s been handed everything in life, saying she has “worked so hard” despite growing up comfortably in New York City.
Whether those perceptions become part of her Season 16 storyline remains to be seen. But one thing already seems clear: if Jessel’s 70/30 prediction is anywhere close to accurate, Erin and Daisy could have two of the busiest seats on reunion day.
“The Real Housewives of New York City” Season 16 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
