Mark Consuelos: Will He Continue to Host ‘Live’ During His Broadway Debut?

“Live With Kelly and Mark” host Mark Consuelos is making his Broadway debut in March 2026. Will he continue to host the morning talk show during his run on the Great White Way? Here are all the details.

It was announced on the January 21, 2026, episode of his and wife Kelly Ripa‘s syndicated talk show that Consuelos would star in the play “Fallen Angels” by Noël Coward. His co-stars will be Rose Byrne and Kelli O’Hara, reported E! News.

But how much do you know about the former “All My Children” star‘s role and will he continue his hosting duties each morning? Here are the details.

What Role Will Mark Consuelos Play in ‘Fallen Angels?’

Mark Consuelos will play the role of Maurice Duclos in “Fallen Angels.” According to Stage Agent, Duclos is a “suave, charismatic Frenchman who seduced both Julia (O’Hara) and Jane (Byrne) in their pre-marital days, embodying exotic romance and irresistible charm.”

Playbill’s description of the play reads, “Two upper-class wives, their husbands away for the day, share a few toasts to their pre-marital dalliances—with the same man, who just may be en route from France to visit. Old rivalries and past scandals bubble to the surface in this intoxicating romp from one of theatre’s comedy masters.”

Along with Consuelos, Byrne, and O’Hara, the cast includes Tracee Chimo as Saunders, Christopher Fitzgerald as Willy Banbury, and Aasif Mandvi as Fred Sterroll.

However, the “Live With Kelly and Mark” host is expected to continue his work alongside his wife, Kelly Ripa, throughout his limited Broadway run, per E! News. He has hosted the morning talk show since April 2023.

But after sharing the news with Live‘s viewers, Consuelos revealed, “No, listen, I’ve been wanting to do this. I love getting on stage. It’s been years since I’ve had a chance to do it, because of travel and not living here in New York City, and I’m anchored here now. I’m trapped.”

When does ‘Fallen Angels’ make its Broadway debut?

“Fallen Angels” makes its Broadway debut at the Todd Haimes Theatre on Friday, March 27. The show opens on Sunday, April 19, and runs through Sunday, June 7.

“Fallen Angels” is not Consuelos’ first appearance as a stage actor. According to Broadway.com, he previously appeared in the off-Broadway productions of Standing on Ceremony, as well as roles in the plays Boy’s Life, Orphans, One Shot, One Kill, and An Oak Tree.

Additionally, the talk show host isn’t the only Consuelos family member making their Broadway debut. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ youngest son, Joaquin Consuelos, will star alongside Nathan Lane and “The Conners” star Laurie Metcalf in the play Death of a Salesman. The couple are also parents to Michael and Lola Consuelos.

However, Ripa admitted she felts torn between seeing her son and husband, who will be in competing shows for the duration of their runs. She said, “Every night I’m going to have this choice. ‘Who do I see tonight?’ Do I go see my husband, or do I go see my beloved son?”

Mark Consuelos had a response to Kelly Ripa’s quandary. “Go see our son, or do both. Do a matinee.”

“Live With Kelly & Mark” airs weekdays in syndication.
