The merge has taken place, and now the castaways on “Survivor” season 49 could be facing a double elimination this week. An individual Immunity Challenge tonight on “Survivor” 2025 will test the castaways, as Jeff Probst has them battling it out for group immunity. Group Immunity on ‘Survivor’
Tonight’s episode of “Survivor” 2025 is titled “Hot Grim Reaper.” As seen in the sneak peek from CBS, Savannah and Rizo know they are in the minority after last week’s blindside vote. While Savannah states she won’t be bitter, she is seen trying to mend fences with everyone, and it looks like she may have some bitterness behind all of the talks.

The Blindside Aftermath
The castaways come back to camp, and Jawan said they pulled off the biggest move of “Survivor” 49 yet. Steven said it solidified who was working together. He said Savannah, Soph, Rizo, and Nate thought they were running the show, but their demeanor has changed. Now it’s time for damage control for Soph, as she tries to distance herself from Savannah and Rizo.
MC played her Idol, as she wanted to see how things played out in her first Tribal. However, that means Jawan and Sage wonder if they can trust MC, since they told her she was safe. That also means there will be a Hidden Immunity Idol back out for the castaways to find. Rizo still has his Idol, though.
Rizo and Savannah talk, saying they are on the bottom now. They said they can’t be bitter, so it’s time for Savannah to try and work it out with the other castaways and save her butt in the game.
Hidden Immunity Idol Search
While Sophie is back at camp painting the new flag for the new merged tribe, we see Steven, Alex, and Kristina head out to search for the idol that MC played the night before.
Kristina doesn’t seem to be too happy to be searching among the bugs and weeds. However, she is the lucky one and finds it. Now she has that Immunity Idol, which she said she would share with Alex or Steven if they needed it.
A Hunt for Savannah
We see Steven and Jawan talking, and they seem to want Savannah to be the next person out. Then we see Soph and Sage talk, and Sage wants Savannah gone.
We then see Sage, Soph, and Savannah talk at the water well. It’s a very awkward conversation, as Savannah wants to know what’s going on. Then we see the waterworks, as she said she feels like the loser of the group and the pariah. She apparently went through something like this at work, so she is having that trauma come back for her right now on “Survivor” season 49.
Immunity Challenge on ‘Survivor’ 49
We are at Day 15 on “Survivor” 49, and 10 castaways are remaining. For this challenge, they will use their hands and arms to brace against two walls while their feet are on a small platform. They will move to smaller platforms as time goes on.
There is a twist, as Jeff tells them they will randomly pick teams of five to compete against each other. The winning tribe, all five members will win immunity, be safe tonight, and not have to go to Tribal Council. The losing team, no one is safe, and they will all go to Tribal Council. The castaway that lasts the longest overall earns an advantage. The winning team will go back to camp for a day of do-it-yourself deli sandwiches with chips and cookies. The teams are:
- Blue Team – Sage, Rizo, MC, Jawan, and Sophie
- Yellow Team – Steven, Kristina, Soph, Alex, and Savannah
All of the castaways make it from the first foot platform to the second platform. As they make their way to the third platform, Kristina drops out. Then we see Alex fall, as Yellow Team is down two members. We then see Rizo and MC drop for Blue Team, so it’s all even. Then we see Steven and Jawan drop before making their way to the final platform.
We are on the final platform, and it’s Savannah and Soph for the Yellow Team, and Sage and Sophie for the Blue Team. Soph drops, then Sage drops, and it’s a battle. Sophie is definitely struggling on this one, as Savannah seems to be more stable. They both are struggling, but Sophie drops, and Savannah wins it for the Yellow Team.
Savannah gets an advantage now, plus her, Steven, Kristina, Soph, and Alex earn the deli sandwiches. We will now see Sage, Rizo, MC, Jawan, and Sophie head to Tribal Council tonight on “Survivor” 2025.
Now Who to Vote For
The losing team heads to the old Uli camp. They are trying to figure out who to vote for. Sophie talks with Jawan and Sage, and they want Rizo to be voted off. Rizo has an idol, so trying to get him not to play it. She says to tell him they are voting her out.
Jawan and Sage go to Rizo and say they are voting out Sophie. Rizo feels he has built trust with Jawan again and won’t be playing his idol. Then Sophie goes to MC and says that in case Rizo plays his idol, she is going to throw on vote to Jawan, and it would be a tie. MC wants to gain Jawan’s trust again, so she goes and tells Jawan about Sophie’s plan, so now Jawan is upset and wants to go after Sophie.
Sandwiches & Advantages
The winning team is back at camp, enjoying their sandwiches. Savannah then heads to tree mail to get her advantage.
For this advantage, she gets her immunity necklace. She will now head to the old Uli camp and get a chance to talk with these castaways. She will then join them at Tribal Council and can cast her vote to send someone home. However, she can also choose not to vote and save the extra vote for another Tribal Council. She hops in a boat and heads to the old Uli camp.
Flipping Plans
Back at the old Uli camp, Sage and Jawan talk, and he wants to keep Rizo now. Sage is unsure about Jawan and him flipping back and forth. She talks with Sophie about MC telling Jawan, so now Sophie is trying to do damage control. She tells Jawan her plan, and thought she could trust MC, and wanted a backup plan.
As this is all going down and it’s chaos for the castaways, Savannah arrives, and she states she is about to bring even more chaos to the group. From crying and acting like the victim, to now trying to mess with everyone’s game. That trauma left her pretty quickly, huh?
Sage isn’t happy to see Savannah. She tells the group that she gets to vote with them tonight. However, she then tells Rizo privately that she can save the vote for later. Rizo is excited, knowing he isn’t going to play his idol, then have her vote for later. Rizo tries to work the group and get MC out. He thinks everyone wants Sophie out, so why do their dirty work? He wants MC out, so he tries to flip the vote to MC.
Sophie and MC talk, and it’s just weird energy. They all talk about putting all the votes on Rizo and getting him out. It seems to come down to MC, Sophie, or Rizo. Just get to Tribal already, people! They are all on a different page right now.
Tribal Council on ‘Survivor’ Season 49
The castaways all talk about how the day was chaotic, which it clearly was. With Savannah arriving, it seems like she is throwing off all of their thinking. However, it may come down to Savannah not even voting tonight.
We get to see MC and Sophie make their last pitch efforts to not vote for them, but then it’s time to vote. MC then pulls Jawan and says she has a big ask, which then turns into many side conversations. More mass chaos, and let’s just vote already! Savannah saves her vote for another Tribal Council.
Results: Jeff tallies the votes. No idols or advantages are played, so the votes are: MC, Sophie, MC, and MC. That means MC has been voted off tonight and becomes the second member of the jury.
