Country Star Zac Brown Joins ‘Survivor 50’ as ‘Architect’ of ‘Biggest Reward’ of the Season

After just three weeks on air, things are already starting to heat up on “Survivor 50.”

So far, four castaways have left the competition, with Jenna Lewis-Dougherty, Savanna Louie and, most recently, Q Burdette being voted out in quick succession. “Survivor 48” champion Kyle Fraser was also removed from the milestone season after suffering a severe Achilles heel injury during the premiere episode.

Now, just 20 players remain in the running to win the coveted title of “Sole Survivor” and the $1 million grand prize that comes with it. This week, however, the remaining castaways will also be competing for a star-studded reward featuring country music superstar Zac Brown

After a cacophony of celebrity cameos was confirmed for the milestone season during its first trailer at the end of last year, fans weren’t sure how to feel about stars like Billie Eilish, Zac Brown, MrBeast (a.k.a. Jimmy Donaldson) and Jimmy Fallon sticking their fingers into the beloved reality series.

That being said, Eilish’s so-called “Boomerang Idols” have been a hit so far, throwing an unexpected yet not-too-convoluted twist into this season’s gameplay. While MrBeast and Fallon’s role have yet to be fully unveiled, we now know that Brown will have a part to play in the “biggest reward of the season” in its upcoming fourth episode.

Set to hit CBS screens on Wednesday, March 18 at 8:00pm ET, the official synopsis for Episode 4 – titled “Knife to the Heart” – reads: “Castaways help pass the time on their beach by hosting the ‘Survivor 50 Talent Show.’ Another Boomerang Idol is discovered, and players must decide whether to send it to an ally or an adversary. Then, the biggest reward of the season is on the line as tribes compete for immunity and a special afternoon with country music star and ‘Survivor’ superfan, Zac Brown, on ‘Survivor 50.’”

In an exclusive first look at the upcoming episode (courtesy of PEOPLE), Jeff Probst introduces the “Chicken Fried” singer to the remaining castaways before quizzing Brown on his knowledge of the “Survivor” fandom.

“I’ve seen every season. I binge it; I watch it with my kids, we curl up,” the father of five reveals as the camera cuts to a shot of Aubry Bracco, who left her two year old son at home to compete on the milestone season, holding back tears.

“It’s been a part of my life forever, so being here is surreal for me too. I’m a super fan,” he continues. “I’m so stoked to be here.”

Probst then explains to the castaways that Grammy-nominated singer is actually the “architect” of what’s being called “biggest reward of the season.”

“My favorite thing to do in the world is spearfish,” Brown reveals. “I want to come out and shoot some amazing fish for y’all.”

Alongside gorging themselves on the bounty of fish Brown spears for them, the winning tribe will also join the country superstar for a feast of plantains, beans and rice.

“We’ll eat and play some tunes and hang,” he adds, sweetening the deal.

While both Dee Valladares and Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick are vocal about their determination to win the first-of-its-kind reward, fans will have to tune in to a new episode of “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” tonight, Wednesday, March 18 at 8:00pm ET to see which tribe gets a front-row seat at Zac Brown’s private concert on the beaches of Fiji.
