Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton go way back, so when it comes to friendship, they have a lot to talk about.

And fans got to listen in on a 35-minute conversation between the country icons and dear friends during a a special TalkShopLive Thursday, September 25.

Dolly tapped the  season 28  coach on “The Voice” to host the conversation, saying, “People always ask me who my best acquaintance, best friend is in the business, and I always say ‘well, I don’t really have time to hang out with anybody but I always think of Reba as one of those people that I just feel very close to. We just seem to do a lot of similar things and I just always relate to everything you’re doing. I love your show and I love you on ‘The Voice.’ I just love everything you do.”

Reba returned the love, saying, “Oh my gosh Dolly, you have no idea how special.. you have always been so special to me, always.”

Reba Gushes Over Dolly’s New Book

Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton were on TalkShopLive to talk about Dolly’s upcoming book “Star of the Show.”

“Star of the Show” is the third book in the “Jolene” singer’s photographic trilogy. It includes “SongTeller: My Life in Lyrics” and “Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones.”

While “SongTeller” focused on Dolly’s prolific work as a songwriter, and “Behind the Seams” looked at her iconic wardrobe, “Star of the Show” focuses on her amazing more than seven-decade career.

Reba McEntire explained in a YouTube short on TalkShopLive’s account, “Dolly Parton is my hero because of how much she gives back. She’s down to earth. Every time I’ve been around her, she treats everyone the same. She is a great person for your children to look up to and to listen to. She’s witty, she’s funny.. Dolly is always one of the family.”
