Why Everyone’s Still Buzzing About Snoop Dogg’s Weird & Wonderful NFL Halftime Show (VIDEOS)

Snoop Dogg continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. The legendary rapper and coach on “The Voice” pulled out all the stops on Christmas Day 2025, headlining an NFL halftime show on Netflix that people can’t stop talking about.

Two-time Super Bowl champ James Harrison tweeted that the spectacle, in which Snoop was joined by a genre-bending lineup of stars — Lainey Wilson, Hunter/X, and Andrea and Matteo Bocelli — was the “best halftime show I’ve seen in years. Thanksgiving, Super Bowl, whatever. Prove me wrong.”

“Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party” took place midway through the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions’ matchup in Minneapolis, beginning with a quaint holiday video by his unlikely pal Martha Stewart, who introduced him to the stage.

Snoop then appeared, dressed in a red suit and coordinating fur-trimmed coat, shouting “Minnesota!” He then performed a medley of hits surrounded by festive dancers, some dressed in red-and-white suits with white bunny-like masks and canes, a full orchestra, and a white grand piano on the field.

He interspersed holiday classics in between his hits, with ballerinas twirling behind him as a choir sang a couple of lines from “My Favorite Things,” for instance.

Snoop Dogg Brought Out Stars for Christmas Classics

After Snoop covered a couple of Dr. Dre classics, he introduced the singers who make up Hunter/X (the incredibly popular girl group in Netflix’s animated “KPop Demon Hunters”) — EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, and REI AMI. They appeared in all-white on the steps of the stage, flanked by dozens of dancers, to perform a fast-paced rendition of “Twelve Days of Christmas.”

Snoop then thrilled the crowd with snippets of his hits “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Who Am I? (What’s My Name?),” before introducing country superstar Lainey Wilson (Reba McEntire’s pick to be the next coach on “The Voice” by the way). She rode out onto the field in Santa’s sleigh, sitting on the lap of her soon-to-be-husband, former NFL player Duck Hodges, as she rocked “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”

Topping off the Christmas spectacle, Snoop brought out a couple of surprise guests — world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo Bocelli — to sing Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” with him, Wilson, and Hunter/X.

Sports Fans & Analysts Lost Their Minds Over Snoop Dogg’s Christmas Spectacle

Dressed in a festive green sweater, Snoop posted a video from his private jet hours after his performance, calling the experience “amazing.” That sentiment was echoed by many on social media who were stunned by what they saw, with one calling the wild blend of talent “insane.”

One viewer tweeted, “Can’t believe I’m going to say this … Dear NFL, please put Snoop Dogg in charge of the Super Bowl Halftime Show!”

Another tweeted, “Only Snoop Dogg could turn NFL Christmas halftime into a whole vibe” and The Athletic reporter Lukas Weese tweeted, “Didn’t have Andrea Bocelli joining the Snoop Dogg halftime party on my bingo card. But it was special.”
