Amid the ongoing situation with Joseph Duggar, Jill spent the recent holiday weekend with her in-laws rather than the Duggar family. The former reality star took to social media to share an update with fans.
In a carousel of photos highlighting time spent with the Dillards, Jill captioned her post, “Easter, fam, food, the boat ramp, nature, firewood.”
The photos feature Jill and Derick, along with their three children: Israel (2015), Samuel (2017), and Frederick (2022). Derick’s mother, Cathy, along with his brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Deena Dillard, and their children, are also featured.
Duggar In-Laws: Get to Know the Dillards
While viewers met the Dillards back in 2014, when Jill and Derick tied the knot at the Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas, a lot has changed over the last decade.
Unlike Jill, Derick comes from a smaller family. His parents, Rick and Cathy Dillard, got married in 1978. The couple shares two sons: Derick and Dan. Derick was born in 1989, and Dan was born in 1990.
Rick Dillard passed away from a heart attack in January 2008, when Derick and Dan were 18 and 17, respectively.
In 2011, Cathy married her current husband, Ronnie Byrum. As viewers may remember, Cathy was very sick at Jill and Derick’s wedding, as she had been diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in April 2014. She later had a stem cell transplant and went into remission.
Derick’s younger brother, Dan, married his wife, Deena, in November 2016. The couple shares three sons, Jaxon (2018), Brady (2021), and Maddox (2025).
Dan served as Derick’s best man back in 2014. Two of Jill’s brothers, John-David Duggar and Joseph Duggar, also served as Derick’s groomsmen.

Through their family website, Jill and Derick released a statement about the situation on March 19, 2026, writing, “We were shocked yesterday evening to learn of Jill’s brother (Joseph Duggar’s) arrest. We first learned of anything related to his charges yesterday via a text from a friend who messaged us about the recent media reports of Joseph’s arrest and his alleged confession to molesting a juvenile female in 2020. We are shocked and heartbroken.”
They added, “We strongly condemn abuse. We support the rule of law and hope that justice will be achieved. Our hearts go out to the innocent juvenile victim of this unspeakable crime and her family. We pray God gives her strength, comfort and hope, and that she is able to get all the help and support she needs and deserves in the days ahead.”
The couple ended their statement showing support for Joseph Duggar’s wife, Kendra, and their children, writing, “We love our sister-in-law, Kendra, and our four nieces and nephews and pray that they feel loved and supported during this time as we cannot imagine the indescribable pain they feel as they process and grieve everything.”
