Barber recalled the experience on the podcast “How Rude, Tanneritos!.” She co-hosts the podcast with fellow cast member Jodie Sweetin. Barber portayed Kimmy Gibler on the show.

After she suffered from kidney stones, Barber was put under anaesthesia on June 17, 1994.

“They put me to sleep. So, you know, it wasn’t like too painful,” she said.

“And so I’m waking up from the anesthesia …This was like three weeks before I graduated from high school. Anyways, we watched the Bronco chase as I was, like, coming out of anesthesia.”

“As I was waking up from anesthesia, the Bronco chase was happening,” she continued. “And so my parents, we, you know, had it on the radio.

“People were watching it in the hospital. I just was like, ‘What did I wake up to? Like, what is happening right now that O.J. Simpson’s being chased down the freeway?”

“That was a fever dream,” she revealed. “So anytime anyone mentions the Bronco chase, I think of my kidneys – and now you will, too.”

Barber Called One “Full House” Episode “Mortifying”

Andrea Barber shared she did have some awkward moments on set.

She shared an episode where she had to stuff her bra left her “mortified,” said PEOPLE.

“This is a core memory,” Barber said.

“I was pretty flat at that age, which is not a big deal. That’s very normal. But then when they wanted to – like okay, they wanted me to wear falsies, but then, of course, the joke’s gotta work. So, I had, like, producers coming up to me in between takes and giving notes to wardrobe saying, ‘We need it stuffed more. We need it bigger.’ And that was mortifying to have men looking at my boobs.”

“I think they got the point across with the fishnets and the tight skirts and the crazy, you know, the wild teased hair,” she said. “I think that was enough. We didn’t need the falsies as well.”

She continued, “I keep thinking, ‘What if it was my daughter, my 13-year-old, out there and where men are talking about the size of her bust?’ I would have a problem with that if I was the mom.”
