Heather Locklear is finally letting fans into her new chapter of love, and it’s the love story everyone has been waiting for. The 64-year-old TV icon is publicly opening up about her romance with longtime friend Lorenzo Lamas for the very first time, and it’s clear the two are absolutely smitten.

“My new guy is very … everything,” she said. “I’m just like, when I tell this person I love him, I’m really saying, ‘I love you, God.’ Because that’s what happened. It’s from God.”
The TV icon also shared that this stretch of her life feels especially meaningful. “I’m [in] the best time [of my life].”
A Hollywood Love Story More Than 40 Years in the Making
The couple’s story actually stretches back more than 40 years. Locklear and Lamas, 68, first crossed paths during the peak of their early Hollywood days, when she was wowing audiences on “Dynasty” and he was making hearts race on “Falcon Crest.”
Their first major moment together came in 1983, when the two appeared on the cover of Playgirl magazine in an unforgettable photo shoot that featured Locklear in a bikini and Lamas in nothing but a Speedo.
More than four decades later, the two have quietly circled back to one another in the most beautiful way.
In a candid sit-down with Fox News Digital, Lamas reflected on the long, winding road that brought him to Locklear. When asked if he ever imagined the two of them ending up together after all these years, his response was honest and simple.
“The short answer is no,” he said. “I mean, I’ve been through a lot of trial and error, and she is the most amazing woman that I think I’ve ever met.”
Their First Public Appearance and Sweet Family Milestones
Since going public with their relationship, Locklear and Lamas have been making the most of their time together.
The couple first stepped out publicly at the Chiller Theatre Expo in April and have remained a familiar sight at events ever since. Lamas’ daughter, Shayne Lamas, recently shared a photo of the couple attending her children’s eighth-grade and fifth-grade graduations, prompting an outpouring of warm reactions from fans.
The pair also shared another milestone last month when Locklear brought Lamas as her guest to daughter Ava Sambora’s wedding in Montecito, California.

Locklear has had her share of high-profile romances over the years. She was previously married to musician Tommy Lee from 1986 to 1993, and later married Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora in 1994. The two welcomed their daughter, Ava, during their marriage before parting ways in 2004.
In 2017, Locklear got engaged to her high school sweetheart, Chris Heisser. At the time, she told People that marriage wasn’t her top priority. The couple ultimately called off their five-year engagement last May.
