Beautiful Academy Award-winning Australian-American actress and producer Nicole Kidman made a special appearance at the Sydney premiere of her new movie, “Practical Magic 2” — and the star surprised those in attendance with a refreshing treat.
Kidman, 59, reprises her role as Gillian Owens from 1998’s classic romantic fantasy flick “Practical Magic” in the new film, along with Sandra Bullock, who plays her sister, Sally Owens.
Per IMDb, the plot of the upcoming sequel is as follows: “A multi generational family of witches, cursed to be loveless for centuries, attempts to break the spell by confronting dark secrets and sacrificing for each other.”
Kidman took to social media to share some pictures from the Sydney event with her fans and followers.

Nicole Kidman shared her surprise appearance at the Sydney premiere of “Practical Magic 2” with the 11.2 million followers on her Instagram account.
Specifically, her post includes a carousel of seven photographs from the evening of the event. For the occasion, Kidman wore a stunning ivory satin-and-lace floral gown from Erdem’s Resort 2027 collection. The dress had a gorgeous floral design on the chest and revealing sheer elements.
The images Kidman posted include the star looking stunning standing in her hotel room, in front of the “Practical Magic 2” logo at the premiere, and in the theater with the surprised crowd in attendance.
Kidman’s caption on her post reads, “Love you, Australia ❤️.”

As per Warner Bros. Australia’s Instagram post, everyone looked to be having a fabulous time once Kidman dished out the drinks and joined in with the fun — and why wouldn’t they be? Imagine getting to see a movie before everyone else, one of said movie’s A-list stars joining you for the occasion, then partying with said A-list star over cocktails.
Directed by Susanne Bier, “Practical Magic 2” hits theaters in the United States on Thursday, September 10 — the same day it officially releases in Australia.
In addition to Kidman and Sandra Bullock, the film’s impressive cast includes Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, Solly McLeod, Dianne Wiest, and Stockard Channing.
