It’s been 11 years since 2004 “American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino married Kendall Taylor, just three weeks after they met. Regretting that he never gave his superstar wife a proper proposal, Taylor — the CEO and founder of Salute 1st, a mentorship organization for young Black men — made up for it on Valentine’s Day 2026.
That night, Taylor surprised Fantasia onstage during her concert in Houston, got down on one knee and proposed with a ring so big the Grammy winner fell to the ground in shock. He explained that the diamond dazzler featured 11 carats to symbolize 11 years of marriage — and now the jeweler who helped him create it has revealed the ring in great detail.

Solomon Brothers, an Atlanta-based jeweler, posted an up-close look at Fantasia’s dazzling ring in a social media video on February 24, noting that it “just gets better with every angle.”
The jeweler wrote in its caption, “We are so honored that @salute1st trusted us to bring this beautiful custom @a.jaffe ring to life ✨ The details are so stunning, and every angle glistens to PERFECTION! Our incredible sales rep Kim, at our Alpharetta location, worked closely together with Kendall & A. jaffe to create this beautiful piece of art for the beautiful Fantasia!”
The post concluded, “11 carats for 11 years 🤍✨💍 This is a ring we will truly never get over” and Fantasia commented on the video by revealing, “I call her The Lady”
Solomon Brothers’ post mentioned that they collaborated with A.JAFFE, which is a custom jewelry maker popular among major celebrities including Taylor Swift, Sydney Sweeney, and “American Idol” judges past and present, from Carrie Underwood to Katy Perry to Jennifer Lopez.

Solomon Brothers also posted a video of Taylor’s do-over proposal, on which he shared his gratitude for their help designing Fantasia’s ring.
“To Kim and the entire team at Solomon Bros,” he wrote, “I never imagined my expression of love toward my Queen would be this impactful! I’m beyond thankful for your guidance and expertise in crafting this masterpiece for a worthy woman! 🫡”
Fans swooned over the sparkler, flooding the comment section of both posts with compliments on the ring and Taylor’s surprise proposal. One gushed, “She is worth all those 11cts. The ring is immaculate..top tier..& so is his love for his gorgeous bride💜🔥✨👑.”
