Jennifer Lopez is giving fans a candid look at her natural beauty — and sharing the mindset she says has helped shape both her skin and her decades-long career.
The former “American Idol” judge took to social media on Thursday, May 14, to post a makeup-free video.
Lopez Dishes on Her Skincare Routine
In the clip, Lopez showed herself removing her makeup and walking followers through her skincare routine, revealing the glowing complexion underneath.
The 56-year-old star used four products from her skincare line, JLo Beauty, as she completed her morning routine while reflecting on the importance of consistency and believing in long-term results.
As she cleansed her face and prepared for the day, Lopez shared a personal message about creating the life — and confidence — you want.
“I was thinking, we have all these hopes, these dreams, these desires. And what I realized, is that that’s the key,” Lopez said in the video. “We actually create what we want. Whether it’s our dream job or it’s great skin. And we do that with consistency.”
According to Lopez, sticking to routines and trusting the process can eventually lead to meaningful results, whether in beauty or other parts of life.
“Once we realize that we have the power to create whatever we want in our lives, it kind of makes the routines exciting because you know you’re going to see results over time,” she continued.
The two-time Grammy nominee also connected the idea of consistency to her own success, explaining that it has played a major role in maintaining her career over the last three decades.
“It’s one of the secrets to” her career, Lopez shared, before adding: “It’s the believing. It’s the idea that I can create whatever it is I want in my life. And that has been true.”
She concluded her thoughts on an uplifting note, saying, “As I begin this day with my skincare routine, I do it with joy knowing that. It leads me to the results that I want. I hope that’s helpful.”
