After months of speculation and quiet sightings, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have now made their romance official. TMZ reported that the couple stepped out hand in hand in Paris, openly sharing affection during a night out in the city of romance. Their public appearance signals the first time the two have confirmed their relationship beyond whispers and paparazzi snapshots.
Launching Romance In City Of Love: Paris
As per photos published by TMZ, the former “American Idol” judge and the former Canadian prime minister were seen holding hands in Paris on Saturday night as they celebrated Perry’s 45th birthday, marking their first public outing as a couple.
As per photos published by People, they held hands and exchanged smiles, looking entirely at ease together.
The pair attended a cabaret performance at Crazy Horse Paris, where paparazzi and fans were waiting outside the venue. A fan handed Perry a rose and wished her a happy birthday as she and Trudeau left the theater hand-in-hand before getting into a waiting car.
Their Relationship Has Been Building for Months
GettyRomance rumors first surfaced in July when Perry and Trudeau were spotted on a dinner date in Montreal, followed by a quiet walk in Mount Royal Park. Trudeau was later seen in the audience at one of Perry’s concerts during her “Lifetimes” tour in Montreal.
Earlier this month, photos surfaced showing the two sharing a kiss on a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara. In one image, Trudeau appeared to hold Perry close as they relaxed on the water.
