Country music fans are still swooning over Lainey Wilson and Duck Hodges’ wedding, and now former “American Idol” finalist Lauren Alaina is giving fans a hilarious peek behind the scenes. From a dress mishap involving Ella Langley to a reception table packed with some of country music’s biggest personalities, Alaina’s latest comments prove the star-studded celebration was just as wild and fun as fans imagined.
Wedding Dress Mishap
While talking with New Country 96.3, they tried to get some details about the Lainey Wilson-Duck Hodges wedding. When asked, Lauren said no one prepped her on what she was allowed to say, but “it was the most beautiful wedding.”
She then went on to talk about a funny moment from the wedding. Alaina said, “They had the ceremony. They had a cocktail hour. The funny thing is, Lainey had this skirt that went around the dress. I had that as well at my wedding. There are little things that hook in. Well, someone hugged her and unhooked it.”
A dress mishap that happened to have two of the worst people present to help. Lauren went on, “Ella Langley and I, the most horrific people to be standing there for it to happen, could not get her skirt hooked back on. For like 10 minutes, Ella and I are trying to hook this skirt back on her. Someone came and helped who was better than us.”
A Wild Table Setting
We did get some more details from Lauren regarding the Lainey Wilson wedding. It seems like she was seated at a table we definitely would want to be sitting at.
Lauren said they were walking to the reception, the dinner. She was wondering if they sat them with people they knew. Oh, they definitely did.
She stated, “Our table was Wynonna, Miranda, Ella, HARDY, ERNEST, me and my husband. They definitely put all of the wild animals at the same table at this wedding.”
Again, how do we get a seat at the table, right?
Lainey Wilson’s Wedding Guest List
Even though Lauren did share quite a few of the celebrity guests at Lainey’s wedding, there were some others in attendance. I mean, this was the country music celebrity event of 2026.
Wilson and Hodges were married on May 10, 2026, in Dickson, Tennessee. They announced the news and shared photos of the big day on May 14.
Lainey and Duck started dating about five years ago. They became engaged about 15 months ago and are now happily married.
As far as the guest list for this wedding, the bulk of the list consisted of non-famous friends and family. Wilson’s dog Hippie and her horse Cash were also in attendance. No one famous seems to be in the wedding party.
As far as the celebrity appearances, Wilson’s “Save Me” duet partner, Jelly Roll, was in attendance. Miranda Lambert was there, along with “Thicc as Thieves” duet partner Lauren Alaina (with husband Cam), and country music legend Wynonna Judd (with husband Cactus Moser).
It also appears that “American Idol” judge Luke Bryan was there with his wife, Caroline. Mind you, this wedding took place on May 10, so this was less than 24 hours before Luke needed to be at the “American Idol” finale.
Also spotted at the wedding were Ella Langley, Ashland Craft, Drew Baldridge, Kasey Tyndall, and Ian Munsick. As Lauren stated above, HARDY and ERNEST were also in attendance.
We also saw comedian Leanne Morgan in pictures. She even had her husband, Chuck, by her side.
