As another exciting go-round of CBS’s “Big Brother” prepares to conclude with the season 27 finale airing tonight, September 28, the field of 17 contestants has been narrowed down to three remaining houseguests. The finalists include Morgan Pope, Vince Panaro, and Ashley Hollis. One of them will be crowned the winner, and receive a $750,000 cash prize. Whoever is named the third runner up will join the jury, which currently consists of Rachel, Will, Kelley, Lauren, Keanu, and Ava, to crown the champ, per EW.
The three players left vying for the prize are a diverse group. Pope is a gamer girl, Vince is a self-described unemployed “superfan” of the show, and Hollis is a Georgetown Law grad. Ahead of the “Big Brother” season 27 finale, read on for a look back at each of their journeys on the show.
Morgan Pope
Pope has been a standout house guest and dominant player all season, winning the Power of Veto medallion four weeks in a row. In a July interview shared on DailyMotion, the 33-year-old attributed her determination to her upbringing and background as a Division 1 track athlete.
Pope described herself and her outlook for the game show by saying, “I was raised to be determined, strong-willed, and determined to keep fighting no matter what. I feel like ‘Big Brother’ is that. You have to keep fighting, no matter if you’re on the block. Even if you’re HOH. We have seen people win HOH and go home the next week. It does not matter!”
Vince Panaro
Panaro stirred up speculation on this season of “Big Brother” by appearing to get super cozy with costar Morgan Pope. The week of September 22, the two were even heard exchanging the words “I love you.” It happened while the pals were lounging in the HOH room after Panaro was awarded a week of power.
Swoon.com says Panaro, who has a girlfriend back at home, reacted to the “emotional cheating” rumors around September 18. The 34-year-old Californian said at the end of an episode, “I don’t want the public perception to be that I’m cheating. Emotionally cheating or physically cheating. We just work closely together, have a good bond, and that’s all it is. So forget about the zing. Who cares? It’s a joke.”
Panaro was referring to an awkward moment when the Zingbot accused Pope of giving her costar “long, passionate hugs” and “lighting up when he enters the room.” Take a look back at Vince and Morgan’s Zingbot moment below.
Ashley Hollis
Hollis celebrated her entrance into the final three on “Big Brother” season 27 with an Instagram post that read, “This is not a drill. They plotted, they schemed, they tried it, and yet here she is. TOP 3. Ashley’s social game is greater than everyone else’s. Let’s seal the deal with AFP votes!! See you at the finale!”
As fans know, “Big Brother” house guests cannot access their phones or the internet, so it’s likely a friend of family member posted the celebratory message on her behalf.
