However, it appears that with time, the men have been able to slowly repair and rebuild their friendship. In a recent Instagram post, Sandoval teased fans with a hilarious April Fool’s Day joke, which led him to confess his true status with Schwartz today.

On April 1, Sandoval took April Fools’ Day to a next level by posting a now-deleted photo of himself appearing with a camera crew, teasing fans with the caption (via Bravo), “Who’s excited about this season of the Valley w/ Me & @victorialeerobinson?!? 🎥 💥.” The post sparked speculation that he might be starring in the upcoming season.
Sandoval was clearly joking, sharing the post the same day that “The Valley” season 3 premiered. In the comment section, he reassured fans that he would be tuning in, especially excited to see Schwartz back on screen.
“What I was trying to say is, [Victoria Lee Robinson] and I are both really excited to watch [Tom Schwartz] on this season of The Valley!!” He wrote, adding, “Sorry guys.”
Although Sandoval won’t be starring on “The Valley,” his comment appeared to confirm that he and Schwartz were in a good place following Scandoval.
The new season sees Schwartz and “Vanderpump Rules” alum Lala Kent as full-time cast members. Meanwhile, Jax Taylor announced his exit from the show to focus on his health and his son, Cruz, while Scheana Shay, who starred as a friend of the cast, is also not starring on season 3.
Schwartz Opens up About Being in a ‘Much Better Place’ With Sandoval
During a June 2025 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Schwartz confirmed that he and Sandoval were working on their friendship after the cheating scandal that rocked the “Vanderpump Rules” cast.
Asked by Cohen to give a friendship update with Sandoval, Schwartz shared, “I think we’re in a better place now. I was very resentful for a long time, but I’ve let that go, and I feel like we’re in a good place again.”
In an April 1 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Schwartz admitted that he still had a lot of “love” for Sandoval. The interview came after the news that Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd had put their bar TomTom on the market, which Schwartz shared he knew “was coming.”
“We took a long break from each other after the fallout with Schwartz and Sandy’s and everything. But it was a healthy break,” Tom said. “I still love Tom. We’ve been through so much together. He’ll always be a brother or family to me. And it’s good to be friends again.”
Schwartz added that Sandoval “reached out” to him to tell him he was “happy” that he was starring on “The Valley.”
