If you’re wondering how Tim McGraw feels about wife Faith Hill after 29 years of marriage, you need look no further than the birthday tribute he just posted.
Faith Hill turned 58 on September 21, and Tim McGraw barely let the clock strike midnight before posting the ultimate love letter to his wife on Instagram.
The country music singer wrote, “My soulmate
My rock
My force of nature
My everything
This is the best damn person that there is
Her heart is pure gold
Her love is unconditional
Her love is bigger than the universe
I love this woman
Happy birthday my love
And yes, I married waaaayyy above my head!”
Accompanying the loving words was a throwback picture of his beautiful bride.
Tim McGraw Says Faith Hill Saved His Life
Tim McGraw has never been shy about expressing his love for his wife.
And the same is true in reverse for country’s power couple.
In fact, Tim McGraw says the “This Kiss” singer saved his life.
McGraw made that declaration on Tracy Lawrence’s “Road House” podcast in May while he was undergoing some pretty major health challenges.
In the one-hour interview, McGraw opened up about how meeting Hill turned his life around. “I’ve been lucky. I’ve been very fortunate. First off, meeting my wife saved my life. I was a wild man,” McGraw told Lawrence.
“I was having fun.” said the 58-year-old. “She turned my life around. I couldn’t have found a better woman. Not only beautiful and talented, but just a good, good person. And then having our daughters. It’s life-changing. They make you a better person, and they certainly calm the demons in you.”
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill share three daughters- Gracie, 28, Maggie, 27, and Audrey, 23.
Faith Hill Has Been Instrumental In Helping Tim Recover in Health Battle
Tim McGraw has undergone multiple surgeries in the past year. Recovery has forced him to pull out of television projects and cancel concerts.
In May, McGraw was a guest on “The Bobby Bones Show,” where he told Bones that he has had five surgeries in the past “6 to 8 months” including three back surgeries and two total knee replacements.
“I’m on the upswing now,” he told the host of his recovery process. “You know, some mornings are good, some morning it takes a little while, but it’s getting there.”
“I’ve done a lot of rehab, a lot of P-T [physical therapy] and now I’m slowly getting back to a routine, very light, but you know, working my way up to it,” said McGraw.
And Faith Hill has played a critical role in the “Live Like You Were Dying” singer’s recovery.
“Faith has been an amazing help at keeping his mindset positive,” a source told Closer. “She’s always so good at reminding him to focus on all he has to be grateful for, that has been huge for him as he navigates this.”
And it’s not the first battle she’s fought alongside her husband. Faith was instrumental in helping Tim battle alcoholism when their three children were small.
“I remember a moment when I was getting out of bed and going to the liquor cabinet and taking a big shot at 8 a.m. and thinking, ‘I have to wake the kids up,’” the singer told Esquire in 2021. “I went straight to my wife and said, ‘This is where I’m at.’ McGraw admitted, “I was scared. She just grabbed me and hugged me and changed my life.”
