“Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 is already proving to be an incredible show, but TikTok night in Week 3 resulted in a shocking elimination that fans are still struggling to come to terms with. Fifth Harmony singer Lauren Jauregui was eliminated alongside her professional dance partner, Brandon Armstrong!
Fans Are Upset Lauren Jauregui & Brandon Armstrong Were Eliminated
Armstrong and Jauregui performed a Cha Cha to “Work From Home” by Fifth Harmony featuring Ty Dolla $ign. A song that is not only hugely popular but also special to Jauregui, since she was one of its creators. Despite their bold yellow costumes and energetic routine, Armstrong and Jauregui did not win over the judges. They earned 18 out of 30, and when the votes came, they were the pair to go. Many feel that this never should have happened, and fans are rallying behind the pair to show their support.
An Instagram post on the official “Dancing with the Stars” account bid farewell to Armstrong and Jauregui, showing photos of them embracing and holding hands during an interview with co-host Alfonso Ribeiro. “Still not over this #TikTokNight said goodbye to Lauren and Brandon – send them your love and positivity today! #DWTS,” the caption reads.
The comment section of the post has been flooded with reactions from fans. “Yall keep doing Brandon and Britt dirty and we’re tired,” a comment reads, referencing Armstrong and professional dancer Britt Stewart, who was eliminated in Week 2. “The underscoring and overscoring discrepancies this season is craaaaazy,” another person shared.
“WE NEED A REDEMPTION WEEK: all eliminated contestants come back and compete for a spot back on the show,” a third person wrote.
There have been numerous comments about the dance couple being underscored, and fans are heartbroken that they were eliminated. Armstrong saw the supportive comments and also reacted to the post.
Brandon Armstrong Thanks Fans
Armstrong’s response to fans was short but gracious. “Aye love yall!” he wrote. “Thanks for the support.” His comment has been liked over 4,000 times in support.
Brandon’s wife, Brylee Armstrong, showed her support, writing, “We love you @laurenjauregui thanks to everyone for loving our team and supporting her and @brandonarmstrong!!”
Professional DWTS star Emma Slater also commented on the post. “I just adore this girl. Brandon you did so well @laurenjauregui @brandonarmstrong,” she wrote. Slater and her celebrity partner Andy Richter had also been in the bottom during Week 3. They performed a Foxtrot to “Northern Attitude” by Noah Kahan & Hozier.
