The former “Full House” star marked a special anniversary by sharing a collection of never-before-seen photos featuring her longtime friend and on-screen love interest. Of course, Weinger famously played Steve Hale on the beloved ‘90s sitcom.
Bure shared a series of candid snapshots on her Instagram, which spanned decades. She also shared a heartfelt message dedicated to Weinger.
The caption read, Happy anniversary to my longest dating fake boyfriend and forever TV husband, @scottweinger! Steejay forever! 😍”
Of course, Bure was referencing the fan-favorite relationship between D.J. Tanner and Steve Hale.

A TV Romance Fans Never Forgot About
It’s crazy to think it’s been over 30 years since these characters were introduced to us. Weinger joined “Full House” during the show’s fifth season in 1991 as D.J. Tanner’s boyfriend.
It soon became one of the most beloved storylines on the show. Fans combined their names into the nickname “Steejay,” hence what Bure referenced in her post today.
While Steejay went through some ups and downs while the show aired, their chemistry on the show made them one of television’s most memorable teen couples.
Years later, the pair reunited on Netflix’s “Fuller House,” and their romance picked right back up. Even though there was a complicated love triangle storyline, fans finally got the ending they all wanted when D.J. and Steve married during the series finale.
Not only did Bure’s anniversary post celebrate their fictional relationship, but it also celebrated the decades-long friendship she and Weinger have maintained behind the scenes.
