The actress was in pain when she performed a cha cha routine alongside professional dancer Pasha Pashkov. The pair chose the song “Rhythm of the Night” by Corona for their performance. In a pre-performance interview, Fishel discussed the music and its meaning.

“My mom was driving me to work every day and we would just belt this song at the top of our lungs,” she said, People reports. “Every time I hear that song, I think of my whole life changing.”

Fishel also revealed that she was struggling with a hamstring injury that had torn during practice. She had a deep tissue massage, which “broke every blood vessel” in the back of her leg, but said she was “pushing through the pain.”

After their performance, which judges Bruno Tonioli, Derek Hough, and Carrie Ann Inaba scored 19/30, she was asked by co-host Julianne Hough about her pain. Fishel replied, “Adrenaline is pumping, and thank god for body makeup.”
