‘90s star Danielle Fishel is showing everyone how dedicated she is to performing on “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34, as evidenced by her willingness to push through intense pain to deliver memorable performances.
Danielle Fishel Shows Her Dedication To Dance
Next Tuesday, September 30, marks the start of Week 3 of the show, and the competition is intensifying as celebrities and their professional partners vie for the Mirrorball Trophy. We have already said goodbye to Corey Feldman and his pro partner Jenna Johnson, as well as to Britt Stewart and retired athlete Baron Davis. If Fishel is next, and many people hope she won’t be, it’s not going to be because she didn’t try her best.
For Week 2, Fishel and her pro partner, Pasha Pashkov, performed a Cha Cha routine. She suffered a hamstring tear during practice. The actress discussed the injury in an interview with People after her performance, saying, “I snapped a tendon in my hamstring. I had a meeting with a surgeon, and I don’t need surgery, so it’s just a matter of rehabbing it and taking care of it.”
She and Pashkov are working together to ensure her leg has time to heal, and she told the outlet that he would be choreographing “around that right leg for a week to give me a little bit of a rest, and I’ll be fine.” Nothing is going to stop her, and she has a fighting spirit, as she added, “I was only going to leave here because of an injury if they brought me out on a stretcher.”
She’s Not Letting Her Pain Stop Her
Fishel loves the performance part of the show, and despite her pain, she managed to put on a good show, ultimately earning a respectable 19/30 on her Week 2 routine. “I’m good under pressure,” she said. “And I’m a performer. I haven’t been in front of the camera performing for a very long time. I didn’t know if I was going to feel rusty or if I was going to know what to do anymore.”
She continued, “But literally, the minute the audience loads in and I get that feeling, it’s 1994 again, and there’s an audience of 250 people on the set of Boy Meets World and it’s live show night — I just come alive from the inside.”
Pashkov seems like one of the nicest pros to be partnered with, and he has been supportive and full of praise for Fishel. The pair has also shared updates about Fishel’s injury and their preparation on Instagram. This includes a new video of them dancing, and a closer look at her leg, which is black and blue. Fishel posted a video on Instagram on September 26, and fans were horrified. The comment section has been flooded with messages of support and well-wishes for her speedy recovery.
