Jon M. Chu, director of “Wicked” and “Wicked: For Good,” will be the special judge for “Wicked Night.” Alix and Val will perform a jazz dance to “What Is This Feeling?” by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. The song references Glinda and Elphaba “loathing” each other after they first met.
Alix took to social media to explain why she thinks the song is the perfect choice for her and Val. “I think in the beginning everyone thought that we hated each other,” she explained, chuckling. “We both have really sarcastic personalities, like, we are very similar. I think it’s the Northeast, the Jersey-New York in us. So we’re very excited to be ‘loathing’ tonight.”
Alix Earle Is a HUGE ‘Wicked’ Fan
Alix is very excited for ‘Wicked Night” and has been posting tons of “Wicked” related videos. In one scene, she and Val imitate Glinda and Elphaba from the film’s iconic hair toss scene.
In another, she made Val green and put a witch’s hat on him in a photo, calling him ‘Valphaba.’
“I love ‘Wicked’ so much,” she admitted. “When the movie came out, their press tour was the only thing on my free page for three months, and I would just watch all their interviews. I’m so obsessed with Ariana [Grande], and John Chu is a guest judge tonight, which is the most insane thing in the world. So the pressure is on.”
