“Dancing With the Stars” pro Ezra Sosa is showing support for his sister Stephani after she revealed she’d been cut from the show’s dance troupe. Ezra posted a video on September 13 that showed the moment Stephani shared her disappointing news.
“Steph got a text today … she won’t be returning to ‘DWTS’ troupe,” Ezra wrote over the video which featured the siblings tearfully embracing after Stephani broke the news. “This is the side of ‘DWTS’ people don’t see,” Ezra continued.
“We give everything we have to this dream, and sometimes it just doesn’t work out … It hurts seeing my sister go through this, especially when I’ve gone through the same :(” Ezra wrote over footage of both he and Stephani wiping away tears. “It is so competitive in the dance industry, especially for girls, and I’m so proud of everything my sister did on and off the show. Love you chica :’”
Stephani Sosa Shared Her Own Update
Stephani Sosa took to Instagram to let fans know she would not be returning for season 34 of “DWTS.” She joined the show as part of the troupe for season 33 after other professional achievements such as playing a background dancer in the “High School Musical” series and competing on “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Stephani shared her disappointment at being cut from the troupe, but showed her support for the new dancers that have joined. She also hinted that she might be back on “DWTS” in a different capacity.
“As for being on the show this season, I was asked to do group numbers, not sure the details for that or if it will for sure happen,” she captioned her post. “As for what’s next, going to continue my career and focus on Tv/Film and acting, I have a couple projects I’m so excited to share with [you] guys!”
Stephani clearly has the support of her brother and other members of the “DWTS” family as well. Co-host Julianne Hough commented on Stephani’s post, “You are a star ⭐️”
Ezra Sosa Is Still Excited for Season 34
Ezra Sosa is gearing up to grace the “DWTS” ballroom with his new partner, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles. He clarified in the comments of his TikTok video with Stephani that he has nothing but love for the new dancers joining the troupe.
“I’m so proud of my sister and equally excited for the new troupe,” he wrote. “It’s such a beautiful opportunity for this next generation!! And personally knowing the new troupe you guys are gonna absolutely love their talent!”
