Former DWTS Professional Reveals Whether or Not She Misses the Show

Former “Dancing with the Stars” professional Sharna Burgess has revealed whether or not she misses being part of the popular show. Burgess invited questions from her 1 million followers on her Instagram — and fans of the 40-year-old Australian happily obliged.

In a revealing Q&A session published using the stories tool on the social media platform, Burgess answered a series of queries, including who her dream “Dancing with the Stars” partners would be, why she hasn’t yet married her actor fiancé Brian Austin Green, and whether or not she’s excited about this season of DWTS.

But one user simply asked, “Do you miss dancing on DWTS?” Burgess was extremely forthcoming with her answer.

Burgess replied, in no uncertain terms, that she does miss being “Dancing with the Stars,” describing precisely which aspects of participating have left a noticeable void in her life.

She said, “For sure, all the time actually. I miss the group numbers, the live performing on tour while dancing your a** off, or those special seasons when my creativity got to fully fly. It’s a spectacular one of a kind magical show where no other place can offer that experience either as a pro or a celebrity.”

Burgess added, “However.. I also deeply love where my life is at and where I’m headed. Two things can be true. But I’ll always be a dancer first at heart.”

The professional dancer last appeared on the show as a competitor in 2021’s season 30, when she was partnered with her real-life fiancé and finished 13th. She had previously been paired with comedian Andy Dick, former football star Keyshawn Johnson, former ice dancer Charlie White, talk show host Tavis Smiley, former soldier Noah Galloway, singer Nick Carter, former football star Antonio Brown, race car driver James Hinchcliffe, fashion model Bonner Bolton, former basketball star Derek Fisher, former football star Josh Norman, radio and television personality Bobby Bones, and actor Jesse Metcalfe. Her best result was with Bones, with whom she won the show and the coveted Mirrorball Trophy amid false rumors of a romance between the pair.

Sharna Burgess Is Still Part of the DWTS Family

Burgess is, of course, still a massive part of the “Dancing with the Stars” family, given that she’s a judge on the Australian version of the show in her homeland, and has been since 2019. The most recent season of DWTS Australia came to a climax in August, with actor and rapper Kyle Shilling winning alongside his professional partner Lily Cornish.

The new season of America’s “Dancing with the Stars” gets underway tonight, September 16, at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT on ABC — and Sharna Burgess is clearly excited about it, as she answered “Yes yes and yes!!!” when asked about it in her Q&A.
