“Dancing With the Stars” host Julianne Hough sent her ex-husband kind words and well-wishes after his recent wedding.
The dancer started dating professional hockey player Brooks Laich in early 2014. The pair got engaged in 2015 before tying the knot on July 8, 2017.
They initially announced their split in the spring of 2020, but gave their marriage a second shot that fall. Julianne Hough filed for divorce in November 2020, finalizing the end of the marriage in 2022.
Since then, Hough has largely focused on her work and professional projects. Meanwhile, Brooks Laich went on to date and get engaged to CrossFit Games champion, Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir. The couple welcomed their daughter, Emberly Heba Laich, in October 2025 before officially marrying on August 15, 2026.
Now that wedding photos are circling the internet, Julianne Hough has nothing but love for her ex-husband and his new bride.

The Couple Reflects on Their Perfect Day
Weddings can often come with hectic schedules and family drama, but that doesn’t seem to be the case at all for Brooks Laich and Katrín Davíðsdóttir.
“It was a dream come true for both of us,” the hockey player shared with PEOPLE after the big event.
The couple opted to keep their wedding “intimate” and only invited their closest family and friends.
“It’s been really fun and really special,” Davíðsdóttir added, noting they wanted a “stress-free” wedding. “From the start, we knew we wanted to get married here, just welcome everybody here.”
“I was like, ‘We just want to be on an adventure. Whatever happens happens. And if it doesn’t go according to perfect plan, that’s okay,’” the bride continued. “It was even funny when I was like, ‘If I slip down the aisle, please laugh.’ He goes, ‘Oh, I’ll slide down toward you.’”
Julianne Hough returns as the host of “Dancing With the Stars” on Tuesday, September 15, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
