“Dancing With the Stars” pro Mark Ballas just finished his run in “Chicago” as Billy Flynn. However, the 39-year-old would absolutely love to continue in another Broadway show.
Until Mark Ballas books his next show, he has plenty to keep him occupied in the meantime.
Mark Ballas Wants to Keep Performing & Creating Art
Although Mark Ballas is a man of many talents, he’s certainly a performer at heart.
“Thank You, What’s Next & THANK YOU Again!! 🫶🏼🥹” the professional dancer shared with his Instagram audience.
“What’s up, everyone? It’s been a week since we finished ‘Chicago,’ and I just wanted to say thank you,” Ballas addressed viewers. “It’s been a wild year. I did ‘The Traitors,’ ‘Dancing With the Stars’ 34, straight into learning ‘Chicago,’ went and shot ‘The Next Pro’ which is coming out soon. And then I just did a month of ‘Chicago’ on Broadway. We just heard this week that we broke the box office record again. And none of this would have been possible without you.”
As Mark thanked his fans, he said he wanted to take a step back from social media and process the entire experience.
“As many of you know, I’d love to be in ‘Hamilton‘ and play Alexander Hamilton,” the 39-year-old continued. “People have been asking about other shows I want to do. I’d love to come back to ‘Chicago’ and maybe have my wife, BC, play Roxie. I think that would be really fun, have a little Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin moment. I’d love to do ‘Hadestown,’ maybe, with BC.”
Mark added that he recently saw “Hadestown” and thought BC would make a wonderful Persephone. He shared that he might like to play Hermes.
Alexander Jean Has New Music Coming Out Soon
In 2015, Mark Ballas and BC Jean formed their own musical group, Alexander Jean. After a decade of marriage, they still love sharing their sound with audience members.
Luckily for fans, there is a new album on the way.
“Also on top of that, BC and I have been working on a new Alexander Jean album, so that will be coming soon as well,” Mark continued in the video. “We’re gonna start rolling it out this year, I hope. I’m excited to have a little bit of time off, spend some time with my family.”
He also has a milestone birthday coming up, which he wants to spend with his family. Mark Ballas turns 40 on May 24, 2026.
The dancer concluded the video by thanking fans for their ongoing support and noted that he couldn’t wait to return to Broadway.
“Good luck in all you do. Charming caring and kind person you are. Love you and proud of you @markballas ❤️❤️” his mother, Shirley Ballas, wrote in the comments. She and Mark will judge “The Next Pro” spin-off, debuting this summer.
Fans can see Mark Ballas star in “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro” starting Monday, July 13 on ABC. The 35th season of DWTS will follow in September.
