Robert Irwin had the world talking during his appearance on season 34 of “DWTS.” From ripping his shirt open, revealing his chiseled abs, to flying across the dance floor with partner Witney Carson, his appeal did not go unnoticed.
Now that he’s two months out from gaining widespread attention on the hit competition show, the zookeeper candidly shared an update on his love life. During an interview on Australia’s “Rob, Kip & Corey” show on KIIS FM on Monday, Jan. 19, the 22-year-old was asked, “On behalf of every single woman under the age of 30, are you single?”
Irwin openly responded, “Oh, we’re going straight in for the exclusive. Yes, yes.”

When asked if he was “looking” for love after his Mirrorball win, the conversationalist answered, “Oh, definitely. It’s one of these things where I’m like, at this point in my life, you sort of, you gotta let it happen, because I’m so here and there and everywhere and 100 miles per hour, I’m open to it.”
Despite his willingness to find love, Irwin added how “there’s not much to report at the moment” regarding his relationship status and love interests.
In a previous interview with The New York Times, Irwin shared what it was like to maneuver his love life after his dancing skills caused a spotlight on his career and his DMs to fill with flirty messages. “Holy moly, that’s so challenging to navigate,” he said. “Anything you do will be on TikTok the next day.”

GettyAlthough he dated Rorie Buckley from late 2022 to Feb. 2024, Irwin told People that he’s looking for a very special type of love — one that reflects the admiration his parents felt for each other.
“She is just the most brave, steadfast, determined human being I’ve ever met,” he said of his mom, Terri Irwin. “And to me, she is just the epitome of a great leader, a great mother, and just a hero to me because she had this life she created with dad and just had the rug pulled out from under her, but she was able to move forward with such grace and still be there for my sister and I.”
Irwin added, “So I look at my mom, I look at my dad, and I’m like, ‘That’s it. That’s who I want to be. That’s a perfect relationship.’”
