Irwin Shares Emotional Childhood Clip Before DWTS Finale

Irwin’s plea for votes comes with a rare throwback video featuring Robert as a young boy cheering on Bindi backstage. It echoes the same excitement he now brings to season 34 with his pro partner Witney Carson. The moment also highlights how deeply the show is tied to Irwin’s family history.

The finale airs Tuesday night, and Robert is encouraging fans to vote one last time as he heads into the competition’s final round.

Terri Irwin Posts Heartfelt Reel Honoring Her Son’s Journey

Ahead of the live show, Terri Irwin shared her own emotional tribute. She posted an Instagram Reel full of home videos featuring a young Robert with her and his late father Steve.

“Robert, when you dance for the final time tomorrow, I will be holding a lifetime of love in my heart,” Terri wrote. “You were the boy full of wonder and adventure, with such compassion for every creature. Your father’s son. This journey of dance will shape your life forever. Treasure this day always.”

Her message captured the weight of the moment for the family and the pride she feels as she watches her son step into the spotlight.

Bindi Irwin Reminds Robert of Their Shared DWTS History

Bindi Irwin also posted her support. She shared a throwback photo of Derek Hough, Terri, and Robert backstage in 2015 when she competed on season 21 and won the Mirrorball.

“Robert, 10 years ago you cheered for me as Derek and I took the @dancingwiththestars mirrorball home. Tomorrow, it’s your turn,” Bindi wrote. “No matter what, always know how proud I am of you and how lucky I feel to be your sister.”

Her message connected their shared history on the show and underscored how meaningful the finale is for Robert.

Judges and Pros Weigh Robert’s Chances Ahead of the Season 34 Finale

Robert and Carson enter the finale in a strong position. On “Good Morning America,” season 27 champion Sharna Burgess offered her prediction.

“I think right now, it is Robert’s to lose,” Burgess said. “I think the only one that can challenge him, in my honest opinion, is Alix [Earle].”

The finale lineup includes Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach, Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten, and Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa.

As the votes open, the Irwins are united behind Robert, cheering him on just as he once cheered for Bindi. And now, as Robert said, it’s up to the fans.
