Rom-com staple Kate Beckinsale, 52, made a major fashion statement in an eclectic look she stepped out in towards the end of November. The mom of one headed to a Jimmy Kimmel taping in a pair of 10-inch platform combat boots, which she paired with sheer black stockings and a sequined red bodysuit, choosing to skip pants. She topped off the look by bundling up in a full-length fur coat and adding a boxy white bag. Finally, she added one of the signature hairbows for which she known. She was headed to the talk show to promote her new action thriller, “Wildcat.”
Kate Beckinsale Reminisced On ‘English Thanksgiving’ With Late Family
The London native, who now resides in the Hollywood Hills, laughingly told Kimmel how she and her family enjoyed a cheeky bit of fun on their final Thanksgiving together. She recalled about Thanksgiving, “I’ve really gone hard in the past. And when my family, who all recently died unfortunately, were last here, we went for a very aggressively English version. Where like, my stepfather dressed up as Henry VIII, and my mum was Maid Marion, and I was Tweedle Dee.” She joked their celebration was “a sort of small protest in Beverly Hills.”
She then told Kimmel, “I was happy to hear that you’ve made a shepherd’s pie, that’s a very English thing to do,” before declaring the dish is only edible with brown sauce, or H.P. sauce.
Kate Beckinsale Said Losing Her Parents Has Been Tough
People says Beckinsale announced the death of her mother, actress Judy Loe, in July 2025, saying, “she died in my arms after immeasurable suffering.” Loe’s died of stage 4 cancer, a diagnosis which was made revealed to the public by her daughter a year prior.
She said in a since-deleted social media statement, “I deeply apologise to any of her friends who are finding out this way or through the press, but I cannot go through her phone . I am paralysed. Jude was the compass of my life ,the love of my life, my dearest friend.”
Her stepfather, director Roy Battersby, died shortly before, on January 10, 2024.
She touched on the subject during her recent Kimmel interview. After revealing her 26-year-old daughter, Lily Mo Sheen has a boyfriend, she kindly said, “We’ve had a tough couple of years. Both my parents passed away within the last few years, and literally the only bright spot in the whole time has been him.”
