Knoxville Crowd Crawl on ‘The Great Food Truck Race’ 2026
Last week on “The Great Food Truck Race” Season 19, the teams made their way to Franklin, Tennessee, and the Tennessee Whiskey Trail. We definitely saw some tension between Bug & Bear’s Cannoli and Caston Funnel Cakes, as Bug & Bear’s brought out a megaphone that was annoying everyone. After two days of sales, it was Bug & Bear’s Cannoli and Deadproof Pizza Co. as the bottom two teams (Caston was actually on the bottom, but they had immunity for the week).
The bottom two teams battled it out in a Taste Redemption Challenge that had them create a dish featuring Tennessee Whiskey. In the end, Deadproof Pizza Co. was sent home from the competition. The journey continues tonight, with the remaining teams all fighting to be named the winner of “The Great Food Truck Race” Season 19. August 9 Live Recap – Week 3

Week 3 Begins
We start Week 3 with six teams left. The teams meet Tyler at the University of Tennessee campus. It’s all about adapting their menu to their customers. This will be a three-legged race, as they will go to three events and serve three different people. The bottom team in each leg of the race will be up for elimination and compete in the Taste Redemption Challenge. We will provide updates as tonight’s episode airs, so keep refreshing this page for the latest results.
9:13 p.m. – For winning last week, Waffadilla won the Pole Position bonus. That meant immunity, but only for one of these events. They have to tell Tyler they’ll be using immunity before the day starts. The first leg of this three-legged race starts on campus selling to the game day crowds. They then get a call from Tyler for the Taste Challenge, as it’s a mash-up challenge. They have to combine two separate foods, but mash it into one cohesive dish. The best-tasting dish wins $300 for their till.
9:24 p.m. – Tyler is making his way around to the trucks to taste their mash-up dish. He seems to be enjoying them all. Meanwhile, Waffadilla blew their generator and can’t get it back on. They keep blowing power because of their waffle irons.
9:36 p.m. – Tyler announced the winner of the Taste Challenge, which goes to Hele Rolls. They got $300 for their till for winning. Drama, as Matt was sending customers to Jollof Bowls and past Stuph’d, which they saw him. This sets them off, and the drama happens. Then Cason Funnel Cakes takes the teddy bear from Bug & Bear’s Cannoli, their good luck charm. Now we have Shawn missing from Waffadilla and not answering his phone.
Leg 2 Begins
9:46 p.m. – The first day winds down. Hele Rolls was the top-selling truck for the first leg. He won’t be sharing the bottom team of each leg until all three legs are done. For this second leg, they are serving at the Rossini Opera Festival. Waffadilla opts not to use their immunity for this day also. However, they park their truck and have a terrible spot, so they immediately regret that decision.
10:01 p.m. – Tyler shows up for another Taste Challenge. This challenge is all about switching roles, so the sweet trucks have to make a savory dish, and then the savory trucks have to make a sweet dish. The winning team gets $300 for their till. Tyler made his way around to taste all of the dishes, and it was Bug & Bear’s Cannoli winning this one. Waffadilla is not feeling confident for the day.
10:06 p.m. – Leg 2 comes to an end. The teams were trying to work out those sales. They are all feeling iffy about how this second day went. At the end, Cason returns the teddy bear to Bug & Bear’s Cannoli for good karma.
Leg 3 Begins
10:12 p.m. – The teams meet Tyler and find out that Stuph’d was the top-selling team for Leg 2. For the final leg, they are at a whimsical fantasy village. It’s all about magic and mystical creatures. Waffadilla will have immunity for this final leg. It looks like we are having a sword fight between Waffadilla and Jollof! Matt from Bug & Bear’s is out there wearing his lucky elf ears.
10:21 p.m. – Tyler texts with the Taste Challenge. One person from each truck has to go out on a magical quest to find a secret ingredient. They have to gallop their way around a pond to then pick their ingredient, which has to be featured in their enchanted dish. The best dish wins $300 for their till.
10:33 p.m. – Now Tyler makes his way around to the trucks to taste their enchanted dishes. Some of these teams on “The Great Food Truck Race” 2026 are struggling with incorporating these ingredients into their dish.
10:42 p.m. – After tasting all of the dishes, Tyler picks a winner. The winner is Stuph’d, which struggled with this one. They had some tension, but ended up creating the winning dish and getting $300 for their till. The teams work on more sales, as Tyler texts them and says this three-legged race comes to an end!
Results on ‘The Great Food Truck Race’ Season 19
10:48 p.m. – The teams meet Tyler at the World’s Fair Park. The top-selling team for Leg 3 was Hele Rolls. They also were the top-selling team overall, as their cumulative sales were $3.805 for the three events. They won the week and won immunity for next week’s challenge.
As for the teams competing in tonight’s Taste Redemption Battle, the lowest-selling team for each leg is:
- Leg 1 – Bug & Bear’s Cannoli
- Leg 2 – Cason Funnel Cakes
- Leg 3 – Waffadilla (however, they had immunity)
Since Waffadilla had immunity, they are safe. This Taste Redemption Battle will be a battle between Bug & Bear’s and Cason. The guest judge is Sabin Lomac, co-founder of Cousins Maine Lobster.
For this battle, they have 45 minutes to create a World’s Fair-worthy multi-layered dish. The dish has to be at least four layers deep. Each layer brings a new flavor or texture, but it must eat as one cohesive bite.
The judges taste both of the dishes. Tyler said this may be the hardest decision yet. The team eliminated tonight is Bug & Bear’s Cannoli. That was a shocker to me.
