Fans of the beloved “Hannah Swensen Mystery” series have something sweet to look forward to!
Alison Sweeney, who plays the titular character, and Victor Webster, who plays by-the-books prosecuting attorney Chad Norton, just announced another brand-new installment in the fan-favorite franchise, bringing everyone’s favorite small-town baker turned supersleuth back for another deliciously suspenseful adventure.
Sweeney & Webster Reveal Major News at ‘The Cookie Jar’
HallmarkIn a recent Instagram reel, Sweeney, Webster, and Barbara Niven, who plays Delores Swensen, Hannah’s mom, return to “The Cookie Jar,” to set the scene for the big announcement.
“We’re so excited for you to tune in this Saturday night. An all-new ‘Hannah Swensen Mystery’ is premiering,” Sweeney began the video, referring to the upcoming installment in the series, “Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery,” which will be premiering March 7, 2026 on the Hallmark Channel.
“But guess what? We’re all together because we have a little announcement. Should we tell them?” asked Sweeney, building suspense.
Niven addressed the iconic backdrop. “We are at The Cookie Jar because…”
Sweeney then revealed, “We have just finished filming a new ‘Hannah Swensen.'”
“Booyah!” Webster exclaimed.
“So you get two this year. We’re very excited to make that announcement,” said Sweeney.
Niven went on to thank the fans for their dedication to the series. “Thank you so much for watching. Because you do, that’s why we get to make another one.”
The three gushed over the fans, expressing the love they have for them, before playfully blowing kisses to the camera.
Lacey Chabert showed her support for her fellow Hallmark family members by commenting, “🎉”
Sweeney’s former “Hannah Swensen” co-star Cameron Mathison also shared his support. “Love you guys!!!!❤️❤️❤️” the actor wrote.
With the newest chapter in the series premiering soon, fans couldn’t contain their excitement upon hearing they have two films to look forward to this year:

‘Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery’ Coming Soon
Though Sweeney, Webster, and Niven didn’t reveal any details about the upcoming chapter in the series just yet, fans still have “Sugar & Vice” to look forward to in the meantime. The film follows Hannah after she finds a body at the grand re-opening of the Lake Eden Inn. When a storm traps everyone inside, Hannah must find the culprit before the road clears and the killer escapes

If Delores is there I’m out. She’s gotten steadily worse with each movie and treats Hanna like a five year old and has gotten more and more annoying
That’s funny because she is one of my favorite actresses. I love her character in the Hannah Swenson series. She is annoying. She is supposed to be. She does a great job at it, too.
Loking forward to it. Love the chemistry between Allison and Victor, hopefully they toned down mama a bit.
