Andie MacDowell has been proving lately that she’s in a class all her own. “The Way Home” star has become an outspoken advocate, reminding women that growing older is a powerful and empowering experience.

MacDowell has been a L’Oreal model and spokesperson for 40 years, and this year, she joined Helen Mirren, Eva Longoria, Kendall Jenner, Gillian Anderson, Jane Fonda, Viola Davis, Heidi Klum, and many more to celebrate the fact that we’re all worth it.

When MacDowell walked out on the runway wearing a form-fitting, ankle-length black skirt, along with a matching black blazer. Her makeup looked natural, except for a bold red lip. Her wavy gray hair cascaded down her back and shoulders. The audience immediately burst into applause. MacDowell, relaxed and confident, blew kisses to the crowd.
“Embracing every chapter, Andie MacDowell walks Le Défilé 2025 runway with strength and a confidence that speak volumes,” L’Oreal captioned a carousel of photos of the actress. Fans expressed their adoration in the comments with heart, clapping, and fire emojis.
Before the show, MacDowell enjoyed hanging out with her fellow models. She was spotted in conversation with Jenner and taking a video with Fonda and Cara Delevingne.
Andie MacDowell Celebrates Being 67 and Proud of Her Gray Hair
After letting her hair go gray during the pandemic, MacDowell inadvertently became the embodiment of aging naturally. However, she has also tried to make it clear that it’s the right choice for her, but not necessarily for everyone.
“It’s not that I’m trying to advocate for not colouring your hair,” she told Good Housekeeping. “I think it’s a lovely choice. You have to do whatever makes you happy. I’ve enjoyed [being grey] for my work. I think it’s more interesting to play someone who truly looks my age.”
While the comments and reactions she’s gotten have been mostly positive, there’s one comment that annoys her. “Occasionally I’ll see someone say something like, ‘You look older.’ And I just feel so sorry for them, that they feel the need to say that,” she said. “I don’t have a problem with it. I’m embracing being my age, so I’m not trying to look younger. That’s not part of my needs.”
While some people lie about their age as they get older, MacDowell is proud of her 67 years on this planet. “I’ve never understood the concept of not saying my age,” “The Beach House” star explained. “It didn’t resonate with me. I had no problem with it. I love advocating for people being comfortable in their bodies. I’m 67 and I’m understanding what it is to be in this body at this time of life, and what I need to do to care for myself. That is something I study all the time, and I live it. I walk the walk.”
